I've passed up a big handful of rock/metal/alternative shows in my city this year just because its overwhelming to me! Pre-covid there were max 4 tours i wanted to see per year, and id usually need to cut it down to seeing 2 so i could still go to annual festivals. Now its been 4 tours every 2 months.

My university is so obsessed with this concept- even more than I see online. In my final year of Graphic Design at one of my countries' top universities, all I hear is lecturers recommending us to specialise, have a look/ feel, present ourselves in a certain way so that employers can easily see if we would be a good fit in their company. I wonder if part of this phenomenon is due to social media & the rise of the global culture, but maybe also because Gen Z is getting older and trying to work out where they fit not only in the world but also in the workspace?

And I totally agree with the fact that personal brands can inhibit personal connections bc we automatically assume they won’t “match” or “fit” our brand/personality/vibe. As a generation I think we need to learn to have patience, curiosity, and give people a chance. A personal brand, if you choose to cultivate one, doesn’t have to be so restrictive

For real? My fav shows are Friends, Glee, Modern Family, How I met your mother and skins, exactly because the seasons are big and there are many seasons! I love disney channel and nickelodeon having those 25 episode seasons because I accompanied the characters, their growth, their ups and downs navigating either that year in high school or in life, that is the best part. How do you really know 5 characters or more in 8 episodes? All shows now seem so rushed and I get that it’s because our gen is very anxious and accustomed to short form content but Idk, I'm 20 and I still love long shows and long youtube videos and don't really love tiktok, only see some instagram reels 🤷🏽‍♀️ And I'm an actress in the making and I just wish we could have shows like Friends and Glee that made people fan over the characters for years on end and people still love them and accompany the actors to this day. That is my dream, getting that back and being in one, as an actress ❤

I'm 20 and I definitely feel 17/18, I think covid really screwed our sense of aging and what is our age and our life stage because we lost 2 years of our teenage years, of youth, due to that, and life and school just kept on and now we are adults either in college or working and we still feel like we should be in high school and have no idea what we are doing! And I'm scared of aging because every movie, every tv show, everything, always only cares about youth, everything is set in high school and no one writes stories or talks about in news and art about 35-40 year old people. Also, big fear of not accomplishing my dreams and being stable and okay because if I'm 30 there is really no excuse to not having your sh*t figured out and that is terrifying
