Hey Doc. Any thought on doing a guide for Centipede? I have followed your guides and have had great success with my Bermuda lawn but have bought a new house in lower AL and the builder would only install centipede. Trust me, I went round and round with them but no luck. Any centipede help and product suggestions would be most appreciated.

In less developes countries minisplits are very common. After asking , I discovered that the total cost with install is about 1/3 compared to the US! Does anyone remember complaining about $25 house call from technicians ? Now prepare to pay thousands even if they only work for a couple hours.

What weed killer do you use where your dogs play? I just got a puppy and don’t know what to use. Thanks Feel better.

I'm told that there is a new minisplit window unit. Is this true?

Over sill vs U-shape, what is the difference? I want one that has heat even if it gets very cold( many say they are supplemental), & that drains outdoor!

@Doc, how did you get rid of the weeds. I'm in Georgia and have Bermuda. I've scalped, weed and feed 3 weeks ago. The grass is growing. I still have some weeds and some bare spots. How do I treat the weeds. I'm going to seed(bermuda) the bare spots with seed and potting mix.

he has a video showing it its a few years old. Its his old neighbors house. but basically nuke the yard with weed killer spray, then hit it hard with fertilizer and a preemergent all at the same time. i did it and it worked great.

Great video. Hope you’re feeling well. I’m doing same thing with my Zenith Zoysia. It struggles horribly coming out after dormancy each year, but intruding common bermuda looks great and has a nicer color. Been overseeing with common and LaPrima bermuda every couple weeks. And it’s taking off now.
@BrandonSullivan19920 сағат бұрын
do you not hate the difference between the colors of green? i do lol
@christopherburkett750214 сағат бұрын
Very annoying. Didn’t realize how many problems I would have with zoysia, mostly due to the fact it too slow to heal. Bermuda is so much better. Plus we have common bermuda all over where I live, so might as well embrace it.

Once summer hits. Temps are 90 and above what height do you cut the grass. I have two active German Shepherd’s in the back yard. What height do you recommend cutting it.

Hey Doc, there is an old boxer trick which might be able to help you Take a white washcloth with vinegar and heat it on the stove top Then place the washcloth around your neck Repeat This should help and loosen up the muscles, etc. Also, there’s exercises you can do standup straight bare feet shoulder straight Straighten your neck and head straight Bring your chin down to your chest slowly Bring it back up Keep your neck straight turn your neck to the left slowly Then turn your neck to the right slowly Then bring your chin down to your chest you feel a little pull Do this gently repeat at least 3x This releases the nerve from the muscles And put on the white cloth with vinegar heated Feel better When you see the boxers ending the rink with the white wash clothes wrapped around their hands that’s what they’re doing. They’re soaking their hands in the heated vinegar.

Doc, are you planning on getting rid of all the zoysia on the lawn, if so how? I'm trying to ged rid of some zoysia in my lawn but both my Bermuda and zoysia are competing with each other. Thanks

They guy you hired to mow your lawn, did he use his mower or your mower?
@stevenyoung3187Күн бұрын
Looks like someone imported weed seeds from around the entire neighbourhood with a community mower? At the very least, whoever was tasked with maintaining the lawn in between Doc's visits, could have used a simple $20 weed-and-feed hose-on spray to keep the yard under control, rather than fostering Jurassic Park style foliage.
@Stolenives9Күн бұрын
If I saw my lawn in that state after 1 month I’d invite that guy over and ask him what he was doing with that mower and if they’ve ever considered taking up another line of work. Great job taking control of that turf back!
