My overlanding vehicle is a 1991 Mazda b2200, built on the same platform. Has the CHEAPEST chinese walmart street tires 100 HP to the CRANK 2wd, and a payload less than most Civic's now a days, but the clearance, lightweight durable platform has brought me well off road where 4WD cars would hesitate. Get past mud pits, have done shallow 2 and a half foot river crossings, rarely does it get stuck when i exercise the most minor bit of common sense. And the car was totaled recently but I rebuilt it on my driveway for under 500$, got it retitled, and its back on the road, noway in a million years would I ever pay the price people are asking for trucks nowadays, in the Bay area people are selling 20+ year old toyota tacoma's for more than MSRP with 200K miles! I just saw this video. If you have a moment, I would like to know what symptoms made you replace the box in the first place. I am looking at the same possibility. My D1 has about 1/3 revolution play turning to the left. Much tighter to the right.

Good video, but you shouldn't need to remove any brake fluid. The fluid level between the high and low marks on the reservoir are sufficient to accommodate pad wear, so if the fluid level was at the high mark when the pads were installed, it will return when the pistons are compressed. Also, if your pins are bent or corroded, it's a good idea to replace them - the pads are supposed to slide a bit on the pins during normal operation, so you don't want any binding. You should be able to install the pins without hammering them back in, which is a good way to ensure the pads are able to operate properly.

Greetings. I just bought this radio and installed it recently, used two antennas, the MXTA25 Ghost Antenna, and the MXTA26 Whip Antenna. Both work well with this radio. Here's a few negatives: The handset mounts are kind of bad. Don't bother with the magnetic one -- it's just too weak to hold the handset properly. Just screw in the metal one. I found out that the handset also fits the slot of my previous MXT105B mount. It's annoying to program via the keypad, but can be done. Consider getting a cheap laptop to program it in the car, because, otherwise, you'll need to buy a separate power supply to program it in your home next to your PC. (Unless I'm wrong about this, never actually tried programming it without a power supply.) Installing this thing in a 2017 Ford Fusion was a HUGE pain, especially considering that there isn't a really good place for the handset. Getting through the firewall of my car involved disassembling my passenger vent and removal of the glove box, followed by puncturing the grommet in my firewall, then using a coat hanger to fish the cables through. Taped up the cables with duct tape to protect them, then lubed it up with WD-40, and SLOWLY pulled them through. Crimped the O-rings, hooked up the red to the battery and the neutral to the chassis ground (do NOT connect the negative back to the battery!). The radio gets ~14v. There IS some parasitic drain on the battery, even when it's turned off, so, if you're going to be gone for several days, disconnect the power source. The positives, however, far outweigh the negatives. The range is excellent, but is very dependent on line of sight. I can use this radio to talk to my colleagues at work. Great for communication on the golf course, road trips, hiking, emergencies, weather monitoring. The speakers on the KG1000G+ are decent. You get two of them, one for each channel being monitored. They can plug into other speakers, too, if you want to set it up that way. Heck, if your car has an aux input for audio, use that if you want. A very solid radio and a good purchase. 8/10.

These plastic expansion tanks have been known to crack at the worse moments. And I have had a new one crack in less than 200 miles. I highly suggest replacing the plastic tank with an aluminium tank.

Most of the similar fridge/freezers have an onboard battery option , but imo , its not money well spent . The typical onboard battery option is usually $150+ and usually less than 200 watt/hr , and will likely only power the fridge for less than 10 hrs . A much better option for the amount of cash spent is to buy a 100ah lifeP04 (lithium iron phosphate) , these can usually be had for less than $200 and is the approximate equivalent of 1280 watt/hr battery / power station and will power the fridge for about 4 days . The one con is that it requires a separate charger , but if you dont already have a suitable charger lying around , one can usually be had for less than $50 . Just sayin

Ready for this adventure to be completed. These videos have been super helpful, especially that front end. Passenger side was a journey (Didnt have the correct tools). Got the drivers front end done without even taking the wheel off. So its definitely a practice. Currently doing the 2" Terrafirma lift, new shocks, springs, and shock towers on the front completed, and new shocks and springs on rear today and tomorrow. Its a 95 D1 152,000miles. Her parts are pretty secured. So the sawzall has been my best friend. My boyfriend got excited and cut the Shock Mount Bolt out, so replacing that as well. I have great plans for this Disco. She shall climb mountains and be the camping adventure traveler of our dreams. Thanks for the BPU link, why do they have everything we want/need for the Disco Thank you friend!!!

The SMA connector is very weak and comes loose very easily. Modulation is terrible on this thing in AM mode - maybe 40% on a good day. FM mode does have better modulation, but isn't all that great either. There doesn't seem to be any service menus either to adjust modulation on this radio. Don't waste your money - just get a President Randy II FCC. Or a President Randy III. Those are much better handheld radios for CB.

Thank you for the HRE site info, installed it on my Samsung Note 20. It is nice being able to study away from the computer. In my former life, I was an IT person, you know computers, servers, networking, you know the drill. My thinking is I could easily do this HAM Tech license as well. Unlike you I have studied much more time. The reason is I am eight years old so awakening my gray matter by having the synapses properly operating gives me brain cramps. In a couple of weeks, I will sit for the test. Wish this old-fart well.

I bought a pair of upper control arms a couple of years ago for my Lexus LX470 and like them a lot. They are made better than the competitors offerings. The tube is fully boxed in and the bends are reinforced. Great job!

I bought an 02 wj a few months ago, now ive owned probably 3-4 trucks with in the past year, but this wj tops them i payed 350 shes not the clenest but shes the best out of my trucks i had, smaller more reliable imo and i can turn it into an hunting/ ice fishing rig and not worry about half the stuff i would have to with a truck, their very budget friendly and tbh they look bad ass!!
