You shouldn't mix your baking soda with your marinade because you'll be left with a metallic after-taste in your meat. Mix it into the meat by itself, rest it then rinse it off the meat a couple of times then pat the meat dry with paper towel. Much better ❤

I use Asian pears or kiwi when I’m making traditional Korean Galbi, but this recipe is Hawaii style Kalbi. Similar, but different
