@@chrisliftstv I 100% agree that they will be close or even top dps once in full bis. But other classes are doing almost that amount of dps right now like rogues and mages.

We went all of 2019 classic never seeing the Eye. I hope SoD boosts the drop rates a bit.

It's like 100 DPS difference between saber and mutilate in raid gear. Using the fel striker in the comparison is a bit wrong imo when the thing only has a 1% drop chance and a vast majority of mutilate rogues will literally never see that dagger drop. Mutilate carnage perditions blade is 4155 DPS, saber slash brutality blade is 4051 DPS.

@@OMGiTzSpAnKy The simulator works correctly for felstriker. Factoring in drop chance vs dps is ridiculous. Technically you have unlimited runs at felstriker per week, regardless of 2% drop chance. One try per week on Perdition's. 4255 Mutilate Carnage. Also, thanks for basically saying mutilate is better, just written differently.

Man… on the one hand I love seeing sword spec visible again, imo I will always favor combat rogue’s style in solo/pve, plus I just think swords look way cooler, and some of the talents in the combat tree are really fun to pop all at once and have 15 seconds of virtually invulnerability from physical attacks, hitting two targets at once, with massive energy gains from adrenaline rush… but my understanding is that what I think of as “combat” spec no longer exists/that they’ve just made mutilate and it’s synergy’s extremely OP thanks to the rune system letting you abuse things like treating the “opportunity” talent as if it’s contributing to dps, even if you’re just standing face to face with the enemy and spamming mutilate. That and the synergies with envenom are just ridiculous, it doesn’t even feel like “classic” if I’m playing a “combat rogue” who can’t even spec deep enough into the tree to get what were once staples like weapon mastery, etc. which again have been trivialized by runes… allowing any race/spec to get that +5 weapon skill with whatever the hell they want 🤷‍♂️

@@samsonhaze6595 I agree, I wish they implemented a more physical focused build. Something that wasn't reliant on poisons, maybe a stacking buff for physical dmg when using eviscerate. Anything lol

ive currently been looking into that since its something completely different from Arms, havent done any major testing but ive done a couple runs in dgs comparing what i know about arms to glad stance. The rune comp im using is (Shield Mastery), (Blood Frenzy) still conflicted about which one to pick after the change for chest runes, (Devastate), (Focused Rage), (Consumed by Rage) meh with Blood Frenzy better with Raging Blow, and finally (Rampage) im switching to Wrecking Crew when i lvl past 50. Just throwing out a starting point i really have no clue if it works as well as i think or not but hope someone can use this to further inprove on it. I do like the ability to sunder as main dmg and having an extra interupt as well as shield wall for more defensives but idk maybe they suck maybe its cool

there’s 3 classes getting a fire based rune in p4, it wouldn’t make sense having them gimped right out the gate, ya know? besides, a few dev interviews ago, the red headed chick said they “learned” from their Gnomer debacle

@hotlikesauce thats why i said hopefully not. If they ignore all that, I'd be happy. Just pointed that out cus i dont think testwork have any fire resistance, and if i remember correctly, they did say they learned from gnomer but that some of the dmg reduction would still exist.

There are some logs with sulthraze up; seem like general consensus is fast for consistent comparable damage and slow/twisting for higher ceiling lower floor. (Seal of Casino) Slow twist has to has to have wind fury though it’s like 40% of the damage, and the mongoose bite dodge reduction if stackable will be very important for Ret. ST 3p is also vgood for twisting.
