Newer dyer here... I'm noticing some real issues with dye jobs maintaining it sharpnes on anything but MVP neutron or proton plastic. I'm using the same process in all cases - heat lamp achiving roughly 160F by 1h15 to 1h25 using Pro-Cem in Floetrol.

DYE IDEA: Please make a disc that is light colors on one side and dark colors on the other side. Kind of like a fire and ice design. Idk if you would do a Mandala dye or a chameleon dye with two different side by side color pulls, a black and white pull, or just an all black pull with split under layers. Your content is amazing, thank you for your effort and thank you for the inspiration!

Hi! I love your videos, I am getting ready to dye my first disc. I was curious as to why you use a floetrol bed vs a glue bed in a lot of your dyes. I was watching another youtuber for the lazywave technique and they use a glue bed. Does the floetrol work better for cells? Thanks for any input!

Wht would be to be the best way going about this with the same colors with no black bed just drag the black over the bed?

That looks so freaking awesome! Love all the colors and how the bottom turned out.

So awesome! Is silicone the only oil you should use or do you get different cell patterns and effects with other oils?

Can you do this the same way but with elmers clear glue and Ritt dyes?

If you’re doing oil pick stuff do you have oil in the dye solution or just dye and floetrol
@zGingaSnapzАй бұрын
Is the reason you don’t use the dye with oil on top so that only the bottom ones come up and through?

I tried my first bed like this thanks to a different one of your videos. Thanks. Possible tip: I didn’t have plastic wrap. Instead I cut a gallon size zip lock into the correct shape. It was very sturdy and spread better than plastic wrap.

Hi Rob. I love your tutorials and was hoping you might be able to help me. Some of my dye mixtures keep sinking in the floetrol bed. I'm using pro chemicals neon colours and the royal purple sinks, I also have problems with other pro chemical colours sinking. I tried adding more floetrol to my mixture but it still sinks.
@LilbotDiscGolfАй бұрын
Yup some colors sink. You can try warming them up first to help with that. Generally I just avoid using those colors though.

Okay thank you. At first I got the 9”X 13” thinking it was gonna work but too short on the width. Just ordered some 11”X 13”, with inside dims if 9.24” X 11 3/4”. I’m hoping that should work fine. Thanks again, your videos inspired me. I’m using Idye poly, with your chem chart. Any feed from any one using the Idye poly?

11X13 is still too tight in the size. I’ll have to order the 11X17 now for that perfect clearance. Thanks.

Hi Sry for my bad english, but i have a question. I tried disc dyeing the first time today and i used flotroel colors in a Lotion bed. and the colors are very bright Like pastell colors. It Looks nice but Not what i expected. So now the question: should i use Lotion colors in Lotion Beds and flotroel colors in flotroel beds. But what colors do i use in shaving cream beds ? What are your experiences ? Have a Great day Eva

Hello sir, I admire your work. I started dying with Floetrol and love cells. I’m using Pro chem dyes. Whenever I try to form cells with a metal pick and 3-n-1 silicone it doesn’t appear, no cells at all. If I mix with dye it works great. Do u know what I may be doing wrong? Thanks

Hey, I was wondering what the longest you'll leave a covered floetrol pan for. I tend to find that I can do around 3 dyes in a day then I wanna get some other stuff done but it feels like a waste to dump the whole pan. Can you leave the pan with plastic wrap for a day or two?

You can leave it covered for quite a while. I've left them for weeks and they still work well
