Did you remove the back of the Kodak camera to get it to project through onto the ground glass?
@AnaloguePT22 күн бұрын
Yes just removed the ground glass frame. Totally reversible if one day I decided to use back the Kodak camera as it is.

i've been using Shanghai GP3 for awhile now as it's the cheapest available b/w 4x5 film i could find in the Philippines. other cheaper option is X ray film cut into 4x5's but i get varied results from it. however I'm amazed that GP3 can be slide film!
@AnaloguePT23 күн бұрын
Yes they are cheap though sometimes different batches seems to behave differently. Yeah most b&W film can be reversed processsd processed to become slides

You are a real mad man! I love it. I've never tried that. What chems you use? Yo I have subbed because we are fellow Yashica bros! Cannot wait to see more of your pics. Trying to immerse my feed in fellow film people. I just posted a new vid featuring my yashica mat 124-G and the photos I've taken with it of my rescue dog. Check it out if you get a chance. Peace!

This is exactly what I am looking for, amazing job! If you ever sell this please shout out. I have an old 120mm film camera that only has 3 timer settings and a Bulb mode. Sometimes I have to keep it open for 1,6 seconds and I use a manual trigger release. A digital one would give me more peace of mind of a correct exposure :) Thank you!

@erikboon65492 ай бұрын
Indeed, and it has terrible reciprocity failure above 1/2 seconds as well.
@gregvanhassel8762 ай бұрын
Yea you could maybe fix the blue with a red filter but that would make the exposure longer. Yea the failure is fast most film is after like 2 seconds

Thanks for this. I was looking for ways to recreate the Mandel and Mandelette postcards (tin types on cardboard) which were developed in a monobath in a tank that clipped onto the bottom of the camera, but could find no information on what the monobath was composed of. This may be a good starting place.

@AnaloguePT2 ай бұрын
Great that you have tried. You can try underexposing. You would have more unexposed silver that will diffuse over to the positive. The old type55 behaved similarly but the new55 was able to get both a good positive and negative in exposure.

So much left unsaid. So many problem areas left unexplored. The Fujinon 250mm SF deserves a whole paper on how to get the most out of a modern design SF lens. (For example, did you know there are at least nine different SF levels available for the user. And, your subject distance is absolutely critical to avoiding OOF when you have "soft focus shift".)

Hello me and a few others have been experimenting around trying this and weve found that fomapan negatives work very well with this process However the sodium hydroxide solution was something we were missing for for a more alkaline developer as we were using amonia for the corrosive agent Currently weve only been able to test 4x5 slides using a 545 back but if you have a 8x10 processor it would be a perfect opportunity to try some 8x10 shots i have a few polaroid 8x10 components i can send a few photos of for a sleeve template (they can be reused)
