You've helped me put together a one coin routine that I have been practicing and performing once a week in the Cellar theater at the Magic Castle. That's where magician members can test their routines. We don't get paid but we do get a real audience. Thank you Rick

Really helped me. Oh, and by the way, if you don't have the $$ for a "special" mirror set up. Try using your laptop or external camera (I use a logitech) and OBS or another video program (even the windows gamebar recorder) to watch your practice, and even adjust angles!!!

I remember seeing a version of this on one of Doug Henning's magic special. He started with two cards and produced a coin. Then he took one card and torn it in half and produced another coin. Then he tore a half card in half and produced another coin. I thought this was the greatest trick I had ever seen and have wanted to learn it for a long time. Thanks for the video!

@@RickHolcombe I looked up his video and I love it. I love his handling is there anywhere he teaches this method? All I can say is wow! His handling is so much better than Doung Henning's. Although it is Doug's handling that got me into magic.

This trick is awesome! I am new to coin magic and I figured this'd be a good trick for beginners using only 1 coin since it's too difficult for me to not make any noise with multiple coins. Do you have any tips for that? I keep practicing every day. Thanks for the inspiration! :-)
@RickHolcombe5 күн бұрын
You need to find old, smooth coins, or just keep working on having a soft touch. It is possible with new coins.

??? No mention of the immortal Jerry Andrus' The Miser's Miracle from 1978. It uses silver dollars and a bridge size deck. Much more impressive. With poker sized cards you could probably produce an alley cat! Andrus' routine is better as the effect becomes more stunning each time he tears the card.

This is soooo amazing! Absolutely great and ideal for beginners too. The production of a coin was already very visual and you could then start a one-coin routine. The production of 4 coins... Wow! Perfect for a single routine or as someone already wrote, ideal for transitioning into a Matrix routine. I think it would also be very suitable to give your children pocket money in this way and they shout: More coins, even more!😃Maybe you've already done this with your children 😂 I really like coin tricks like this - easy to do with minimal slight of hand, but still very effective! By the way. Looking over your shoulder is always very helpful. THANK YOU Rick for teaching us such great things!
