Hi mate. The lane is called 'Happy Valley' in our circles. If you go to my video titled "this day nearly broke me" in the video description, I've out a link to my outdooractive account where you can take the route from for yourself. The motorway isn't on the rout I have linked though so you're safe there 😂 Happy Valley starts just past Tynllwyn caravan and camping park in Bryncrug and the trail in video directuon goes south east and ends in Cwrt just outside of Machynlleth. You can see the trail on Google maps going through the valley. 👍 Good luck and god speed 😆

I know mate, there nothing more to it than simply forgetting to turn the ignition off when I jumped off. The video can be analysed as a number of small errors culminating in one big mess, but it was just one simple error. Yeah I tried everything to get the bike out and/or get it going again. The bikes too heavy and ground was too soft to do anything with it. I think people assumed I just jumped off and gave up straight away 😆 all of my videos show I don't give up easily, and this situation was no different. Thanks for watching anyways 🙏

Good thing you have crash bars. First mistake....relying on your phone for navigation....second mistake....worrying about your phone battery charge..third mistake using a phone front and center on your triple clamps....fourth mistake making a video and talking about your phone. I guess this is why in the olden days dirt bike riders relied on themselves, stayed focused on the trail ride (and told stories about it later, maybe some pictures), and had at the very least....a kickstarter. It is possible to push start a these bikes.....was that not an option? Either way seems like a rookie mistake, but in the end...it "all" centered around worrying about your phone....and not knowing better to preserve battery life at all times.....casually leaving your ignition on seems rookie...ya we have all done it, fortunately for me, my bike was in my workshop. Doesn't take long does it? I guess that is all part of the "adventure"....At least is wasn't a typical newbie "adventure" on you tube resulting in a broken leg, and helicopter rescue. Kinda funny...I did chuckle when I saw the crash bars...

Thanks alot for all the great comments and support, you're a fantastic bunch, and I appreciate every one of you 🙌 For a bit of back story to how I landed in this silly situation, earlier in the day my USB charging my phone, had come unplugged from The dash... I hadn't noticed until my screen back light went off at 5% a few hours later. The cable I was using couldn't carry the amperage needed to charge the phone but could only just about maintain it between 3 and 5%, obviously I needed the phone for navigation. When you stop, the phone will charge slightly, when you move and the GPS starts tracking it uses ALOT of processing power and juice... So I was semi Concious at the point of failure that while stopped in the woods to scout the top. Section, I could get a bit of charge in the phone... I just went a bit ADHD and went for a lovely stroll In the woods 😂 This is a solid reminder also to download 'what 3 words' to your devices and tell your loved ones to download it too and make sure they all know how to use it, this is what was my saving grace here aswell as a bit of phone signal. It really is a life saver. "Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times" Love you all 😘

Bloody hell mate, knowing just how wide the World Raid is in person, I was holding my breath and thinking, think thin, think thin while you were going through some of those trails. Such a pain in the hole having a flat battery and nobody around to give you a dig out. I thought the new screen was gonna go on you as well when it dropped. Are the towers expensive to replace by the way? Did anyone get in touch about repairing the cracked speedo? I finally got my World Raid on the 3rd of May and have been out on it daily since then. I stupidly dropped it the other day at a silly mountain road junction, the front wheel was up on a ramped part of the junction and I had to stop for oncoming traffic, went to put my foot down and nothing but thin air. Down went the bike and I rolled down the hill in front of it. I felt like a right tit but I'd never been on that section of road before and at 6.2 I can flat foot the World Raid no bother so it took me by surprise. Thankfully just the crash bars and Barkbusters got some scars. Also, anyone that says lifting a fully fueled T7 World Raid is easy is talking out of their arse. No green lane opportunities over here so as soon as I get the opportunity I'll be planning some trips over to your neck of the woods. Massive respect for what you do Lew 👍 and fair play to the Mrs for coming to the rescue, what would we do without them?!😉

It's always a series of small things that creep up on you. The constant start-stop. Dropping into the route, then leaving the bike on while scoping the route. Then realising, the phone had limited charge and had no way to get the bike out without the engine running. Sitting on the side of the road in Wales, waiting for your missus, is probably at the more minor end of consequences.
