Kurt Angle signing with TNA was a fantastic way to redeem himself. TNA was thriving back then, and Angle was a huge draw for the promotion. He's still arguably one of the best in ring technicians and overall performers in this industry's history. Truly a gem and a once in a lifetime talent.

when angle got there he looked sick and totally different. I think what culture did a video on that.. and he was first there he looked normal then as he went on... I dont know if it was after his recovery he look drawn up.. then got back to his size he was suppose to be. Im just glad he has fought his demons and is back healthy and headed to AEW for a short stint.. maybe a one match only

They also didn’t give a shit about his addiction issues. Which is why Jeff Hardy went there too. The only reason TNA started caring about any sort of wellness policy was because of Sting vs Hardy.

.... normally when I comment on WhatCulture videos, I'm pointing out errors and whatnot.... BUT THIS TIME.... a rare case.... Credit to whoever made the video. Using the photo of infamous ECW fan (and, in truth, wrestling fan since he showed up in the audience off and on EVERYWHERE, except WCW, for a while in the 90's) Faith No More Guy holding up a "Die Rocky Die" poster. That image tells you everything about the average late 90's fan. Total personification.
@jrw2272
@jrw2272 3 жыл бұрын
I don't know. There is something about the way Vince "ruins" some of his superstars to then use that to catapult to the top. He tried to shove Roman down our throats for so long and they were able to use that to make the Head of the Table gimmick actually work decently well. It's similar to what he did with the Die Rocky Die. He tried to shove us Rocky and the fans didn't take it. It was that hate that made him become what he did. How much success first comes from failure and how much credit do you think Vince deserves in that? Honestly, the answer doesn't matter because Vince I'm sure sees it all as his success and any failures are because the wrestler couldn't hang at the time.
@kartzzy6101
@kartzzy6101 3 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure head of the table Roman would've worked without the real life time off due to cancer coming back. It gave fans a reason to actually like him/ at least not hate him.
