What kind of makes the Undertaker thing seem that much more psychotic is that when Funk came into the ring, Undertaker asked him "Is he dead?" and when Funk said no, he literally chokeslammed him out of his shoes. Like the crowd didn't know that, but damn.

I think Jericho talked about it on his podcast at some point, or in some kind of interview. He shoved Robinson and yelled "HE'S INJURED, YOU IDIOT!!", but he did so in such a way that he looked like he was just annoyed with Robinson in kayfabe for stopping the count. I believe there was some heat between the two for a little bit, but it was mainly just due to the suddenness of everything and they worked it out soon after, like professionals do.

The Ganso Bomb. Kawada fractured his arm early in the match, so he and Misawa had to work around it. When Kawada tried to do a power bomb, he couldn't get Misawa all the way up. I still take my hat off for how Eric Bischoff handled the awful match between Sting and Jeff Hardy at Victory Road. Granted, it wasn't subtle. I think everybody and their moms could see how effed up Jeff was. But I still find it very smooth and professional how he handled it He literally gave a new finish to a guy and a zombie, while shooting a promo, with 0.1 seconds of preparation. How Sting was reacting to that promo also added a bit more credibility to everything.
@TheWPhilosopher
@TheWPhilosopher Жыл бұрын
Yeah that was great work from all but Jeff. Sting even had to legit hurt him a bit to keep him in hold iirc so he didn't do anything too dangerous. I also think iirc it did go a bit longer than a straight finish as it was the main event and when Bischoff goes over to sting and "chats shit" at him I think he said something like see if you can get anything out of him but if not finish it quick. Their first lock up Sting can tell he is in no condition to wrestle so that's when he stiffs him up and ensures her finishes it after that.

The undertaker vs mankind choke slam was planned and them saying it wasn't is a work. If you go back and watch the match when mick foley hits the canvas, you can see all the plastic zip ties that were holding the fencing up. All fencing is made with steel lashings for strength, that panel on top was gimicked to break under mick foley's weight. Also notice how undertaker wasn't standing on the panel for the choke slam? Its a work
@Ashannon888
@Ashannon888 3 жыл бұрын
No it wasn't. Everyone involved, from both wrestlers, all the ring crew said it was a screw up. Guess the Montreal screwjob was a work too? Hell, you probably think Bruiser Brody is still alive somewhere to don't you? Also watch the match, you see the tie popping off all over the roof when they are up top. Not just the one panel Foley went through.

I was at over the limit. The reason the crowd was getting upset was because only one match that night didn't have somebody getting injured and I think their match was right after Orton and edge ended in a count out because Orton dislocated his shoulder.
