I feel Rick and Morty use parody and satire of the other shows just to throw them under the bus. Then Rick burbs and says what does it mean to you? There is a good way to parody, and a good way to satire. Then there is the other way to do those things. This might be that other way.

In "Total Rickall", did anyone notice that when Rick tries to remember the BAD memories with him and Morty, the flashbacks only show bad things happening to Morty and not Rick? The rest of the family have bad memories of each other, however Rick is the only one who did not have a flashback where something bad happened to him. Makes you think...!

In fact it was banned and never broadcasted on Cartoon Network due to it's controversial content of swear words and was later brodcasted on Adult Swim because of those said controversial content of swear words.

Venture bros was conceived as a parody way back in 2003. The entire purpose of the show was to mock and make fun of genre specific tropes for boy wonder cartoons, superheros, secret agents and super spies, etc, etc.

Screen Rant, if you didn't know, Rick and Morty's creator actually made a parody of BTTF called Doc and Mharti before made Rick and Morty, in fact, that short parody inspired the entire show.

Doc Brown himself is a reference to Albert Einstein. The Einstein>Brown>Sanchez line shows how as the world approaches human extinction, scientists who consider themselves capable of saving (or destroying) the world get both more and more powerful and more and more sociopathic. This continues until the line breaks and we decide that the world cannot be saved by means of science.

For the love potion episode of Rick and Morty it's a bit misleading. In the venture Bros episode that's being ripped off, that is a 46 minute season finale. Love potion "bug making" only happens when there is less than 2 minutes left in the show, literally. It's like a side thing. The bugs are on the screen for LITERALLY 15 seconds and the episode ends.
