Video description: The most porweful modern navies operate destroyers. These fast warships provide multi-mission offensive and defensive capabilities, and can operate independently or as part of carrier battle groups, surface action groups, amphibious ready groups, and underway replenishment groups. Not all countries operate Destroyers and some will be commission soon in the near future. Today the Buzz presents the “10 Destroyers of the future”.

I'm only about halfway through and one of them weighs in at 13,000 tons. That's almost as heavy as the Baltimore Class Heavy Cruiser of World War II.

@@worlddefenceupdates6649 Plenty of other destroyers are bigger than 7000 tonnes. France and Italy have the destroyer-like warships named as frigates. Plus this Indian channel doesn't say that the Visakhapatnam class isn't even capable of having a bulbous bow (6:40) despite its fake CGI pictures.

@@patricofritz4094 I think they should invest more time in INS Vishal rather than The Destroyers, We have enough Naval Capabilities to defend our waters and we don't need to go for a naval attack to China. Another Aircraft Carrier would catapult our Presence in the Indian Ocean

@@coronavirus5050 just whatever they do make sure they do it to its best , strive toward making the best aircraft carriers they can ,make it very advanced not even modern because by the time it comes out it will be 2030s so futuristic with great design . It will up their naval capabilities enhancing their aerial offensive and defensive capabilities strengthening their presence in the Indopacific and the world as a true blue water navy and a global power . However the Project 18 is very much on my radar if and when it is achieved it will beat the U.S.'s Zumwalt destroyers to laser and railguns weapons just like the Japanese Maya class Destroyers and China Type 055 Destroyers/Cruisers . India just has to invest and complete these technologies programs . I am patriotic for a country I don't even belong . I am tired of American and European dominance and attention it is time for a great nation to finally rise after thousands of years as it is an ancient nation of nations that was very powerful

The next version of China's Type 055 is more likely to come out sooner (or at all) than most of these old CGI plans which are smaller and weaker in systems anyway.

SO. The Shtorm carrier is expected to be built in 2030.But the construction will beggin in 2023 that would be 2 ships at the same time.Shtorm will be nuclear powered same as lider. So thats around 3 billion for only 1 shtorm.Lider is like 450 million i dont know.thats around 8 yrs and 3B and 450M. It will be a massive up for russian navy and the sthorm is supposed to have missile silos? Assault carrier lol

I don't think that the Shtorm will be actually worked upon. Russia can not afford to spend on lavish carriers which are mainly used for force projection. Historically, Russia has invested in options which provide for scalability, robustness, effectiveness, deterrence and area denial. Supersonic/ Hypersonic Missiles, Glide Vehicles, EW systems and Hardkill laser weaponry seems to be the way, they will progress from now on. As for the aircraft carriers, Russia will probably ignore them, but keep them in a design and R&D phase, likely to start work on them, when and if their economy recovers by a large margin. Their destroyers and submarines seem pretty capable though, I am a fan of their Yasen and Future Kalina class submarines.

I dont know what is your source but this isn't the first time you miss italian vessels. There is a new destroyer in development. The 3000 tons iranian project is not a destroyer, at most can be considered a fregate. Dont know why in the mix of the images appears an old US LCS, they are beeing retired. Flight 3 is not a new ship is just an upgrade of a very old destroyer. Some time some words are repeted like it were an eco.

The LIDER class ships are battlecruisers, not destroyers. They're far too large and heavily armed to be considered anything but. Even the Arleigh Burke's are pushing the definition. They're closer to being a cruiser than a destroyer given their weight and armament. That Iranian example is a pipe dream, if they hope to stick so many missiles on such a small boat, which is more akin to a corvette than anything else.

@@michsky46 actually it makes a lot of difference. such a tonnage change would mean at least an additional 32x VLS air defense slot. Turkish ship industry(civil and military) is one of the fastest growing industries in the world. we have many international customers. and Turkey is a country that definitely gives confidence in this field

It's an Indian channel, so it will glorify India and other countries while ignoring the one that actually achieves better things. It's also funny how whenever China does something (aircraft carriers with EMALS; 13 000-tonne destroyers; fifth-gen fighters), Indians immediately come up with CGI pictures and say that they have equivalent plans.

Even if they somehow gather the money which they currently lack to fund these , they have bigger more useful platforms they would like to spend it on ! These project are dead for years ! Project 18? Was that a joke? A Fantasy ship with weapons that are not even close to exist in the Indian millitary, lasers, rail guns and hypersonic missiles lol And they will have them 2028...They can’t even build P 15 class in that timeframe... Just as much of a dream as the Iranian Destroyer that are as small as a small Frigate but armed like aBurke class...

Railgun technology is already created by DRDO kzfaq.info/get/bejne/iK2YeM6YqbazcYU.html And yes hypersonic demonstrator like HSTDV is already tested iin 2020.And brahmos mach 5 version is expected in 2024 and mach 7 in 2027. Also yes the commisioning of ship in 2028 unlikely but 2031 seems probable. The hull model testing is being conducted for the Next generation Destroyers,frigates and corvettes. Yes Laser and railgun technology is still far from reality but provisions are made for them when it become viable. India already conducted test of a hypersonic missile in 2020
