To be fair, the person "taking" a Canadian Destroyer, is actually the one doing the work. They literally have to do a back flip with a dude on their back. The person "performing" the move is just along for the ride. I can't do a backflip on a trampoline all by my damn self, let alone on the ground with some guy holding on. If the Miz can't do it, I don't blame him or look down on him at all. That crap looks hard! It also happens to be the coolest looking finisher I have ever seen in my life!

Given his history of neck issues, I can't say I blame him. Not to mention, he may have greater difficulty in turning his head just right in time due to those injuries. 5:30 Maybe. It looks more painful than it actually is. It's a controlled sit down. One of the things that made Yoko so good. Taker talks about when Yoko wanted to get his own back on him, and put more of his weight on him when he came down.

@@dpalmerama Fair and true. Let me be more specific. 1. If the move was done with intent to harm. 2. There is a clip of Rodney doing the Banzai Drop, but obviously slipping and landing square on his chest. Those would suck for sure.

@@vin1882 Oh yeah. I think if he slipped it would be an accident and that would indeed suck lol. From watching the old Raws it was mainly jobbers he did that with (as back in the day jobbers were just fodder). I think he was more careful when it was a high up superstar like Brett Hart.

I was at a WCW house show in 1993 months ahead of Starrcade of that year and for some bizarre reason the main event was Ric Flair vs. Harley Race. By the time Flair was done chopping Harley's chest that evening, Harley's entire chest was damn near blood red. So, I wouldn't want to take Flair's chops either. 😂

I think that the Canadian Destroyer is just dumb when you're using it as a transitional move. I only see it as needing to be a finisher and only a finisher. Nothing else. Everyone doing that move waters it down and it's dumb.
