With age, especially in the wrestling business, it's only normal that certain wrestlers restrain their movesets. You will rarely see wrestlers in their early/mid 40's doing the stunts they used to do in their prime. It's the cycle of life.

Say this for Cesaro--the setup for using the UFO at Mania, with the match storyline focusing on his injured arm, was perfect. A lot of these decisions will disappoint younger, more naive fans. The reailty is, even simple leg drops, as seen with Hogan will kill the respective body parts through repetition. The best thing you can do as a wrestler is limit punishment, especially as you get older. Once the pain starts, it's incredibly difficult to get rid of.

If there's one common denominator in this video is that all the highflyers (and Zack Ryder) don't want to use any variation of the 450 anymore. It's a cool move to execute but it takes a lot of toll on your body. Though Mustafa Ali still uses the 450 but not the 054.
@sadowolf
@sadowolf 3 жыл бұрын
Came here specifically looking for the Spiral Tap. But along with the Shooting Styles Press it's one of many he no longer does since he's gotten older. You can probably add him to the 450 list since he doesn't seem keen on the springboard 450 anymore (he's had a couple close calls with it in the WWE), and I highly doubt we'll ever see him do the Fosbury Flop to the outside again.

I imagine the rotation is meant to build up more momentum to hit the splash even harder.

When Jeff Brings Willow Back i would like him to see him attempt a 450 just 1 time but he has to be super sure and confident about it. It would just make his Willow character look that much Crazier!

It still surprises me that, after so many decades of WWE, wrestlers are still performing moves and finishers that BLATANTLY ruin their bodies. Yes, I know that Vince is telling them their movesets: but, from Hogan's Immortal Leg Drop, to Austin's Stunner, to diving headbutts, to the Tombstone.... You gotta ask yourself: WHY??? (the answer is: "money talks") SMH

I think they should have added any suplex that Taz ever did. If you ever see some old ECW footage of him doing a head and arm suplex you’ll understand. Honestly surprised he didn’t end more careers the way he used to drop people on their heads.

Seth Rollins said at the end of the day he wants to be himself, but the same time he was using the Pedigree he was doing an Zipcord knee strike/V-Trigger which was also used at the by NJPW champion Kenny Omega, he should've used a different finisher instead of either one of those two
