@acnologia There is a difference when you can just get overwhelmed and crushed in 1-2 minutes, under the extremely high pressure from the beast. I would also include Jeff Hardy first WWE champion win. Usually in those time WWE would hype up a mid cadre wrestler against a big heel only to end up losing the match. This would gain more heat on the heel so that he could be defeated by a top baby face later. Wwe was actually playing such story line with Jeff initially. But that day when Jeff pinned TRIPLE H. That gave huge goosebumps to all. Fans were shocked that Vince actually delivered what the people wanted.
@greghuffman3061

Didnt he pin edge? But gotta say i totally agree. Jeff is my favorite wrestler ever. I did see the ppv without knowing the finish and was fucking thrilled... but gotta say it came right as i was losing interest in pro wrestling so i really didnt get to bask in the reign like i should have. Still im glad he won. I think the most emotionally invested ive ever been in a wrestling match was his ladder match in 2002 against taker. I remember that summer was when i went to visit my step dad in new mexico for summer school break

"The Fiend didn't look credible!" SHOCKING. /s The most frustrating thing about Lesnar squashing Kofi was that that episode of Smackdown actually ran short. They could've easily had a 2 minute sprint match of Kofi doing tons of dives and dropkicks and none of them being enough, to at least get some offense in.
@andyq524

I disagree about the Austin heel turn not making sense. He had come back from neck surgery, and leading up to WrestleMania he mentioned how he wasn't sure if he was good as he was before the surgery, but he would do anything to get the title back. The "anything" was siding with Vince in order to become champion again.

I don't think Kofi's match with Lesnar was handled backwards. I believe it went just the way it should've in any semblance of realism where a monstrous powerful mma fighter would easily beat up a skinny short guy who looks as small as me. That's the way to book extreme opposites correctly in kayfabe. It's wrestling business. Of course they weren't gonna have an equally competitive match drawn out to 30 minutes. Not with Kofi.

*Despite how fantastic Stone Cold vs Rock at ‘Mania 17 was, having Stone Cold turning heel was a huge mistake. I get that Austin felt like his character was getting a bit stale as a babyface but the timing was just bad since Rocky was going away for a few months to film the Scorpion King. It marked the end of the illustrious Attitude Era because the feud between McMahon and Austin was a bit was built on the entire era. On top of that, the fans just had no interest of wanting to boo Austin.*

Wrestlemania was both the greatest ppv ever and the event that put a bookend (pun?) to the best days of wwe. Basically the beginning of 2000 to that moment in 2001 was the apex of wwe. Its akin to how 1969 was a year of big moments but also ended the 60s with the manson killings

@Jacob and wallace youre both right. He did want the heel turn because he thought he was losing steam...but then regained it in that moment and considered calling an audible.

That first Lesnar vs. Goldberg match when he returned created the most visceral emotional crowd response in years. It just shows you that 'Professional Wrestling' isn't about 'what' you do but 'how' you do it. A perfect match in terms of hooking the crowd emotionally, can be 30 minutes or 3 minutes..

Honestly, I was thinking before Wrestlemania 30 that I’d be willing to see Undertaker’s streak broken if Daniel Bryan won the WWE title.

Think he will win cause cody dosent need the title rn could hold out on giving him it but if u take it from roman it will kill his goat persona

I would not be shocked if Roman retains. I don't think he should lose until they split the world titles first. Or they should unify them. Bring back the undisputed title and keep it on SD. Then have a tournament crowning a new wwe champion which would be obviously won by Cody. Adam Pierce hands Cody the current wwe title. He briefly embraces it but then later throws it down. Introducing the new wwe title. Which would be the eagle winged title. Cody also should feud with The Miz before winning the world title. The Miz has accomplished more than Cody ever has and he can brag about how he's won the wwe title twice as much as Cody's entire family. Maybe even name drop goldust and how GTV failed to put Dustin over .

Hulk Hogan vs André the Giant at Wrestlemania 3 should be on this list. Nobody saw that coming at the time in the lead up to that match.

I don't get why people were so disappointed with the Shaemus vs Daniel Bryan match. I, personally, loved it. I think it was the perfect way to do it, to have the face be so prepared, and have the heel so cocky, but then lose so decisively due to that cockiness. I think it was the best choice, and I would have done the same.

What about Wrestlemania 2 when Jake the snake beat George Wells? Such an amazing match. Jake the Snake went on later that night to slam André the Giant in front of 93,000 Snake-O-Maniacs. It so amazing especially after Andre was able to hit the Swanton Bomb off the top rope. Bobby Heenan then sang, "Poison" with the Honky Tonk Man. Alice Cooper was on drums. Total pandemonium according to Gorilla Monson. During the post match interview Jake Roberts told Alexa Bliss "Oooh Yeah!"

Okay but if Stone Cold didn't turn heel at Wrestlemania 17 then we would of never heard JR scream, "AUSTIN SOLD HIS SOUL TO THE DEVIL! SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME THIS ISN'T HAPPENING!!!" So in my opinion worth it

When Kingston lost the title to lesner. The ring announcement was longer than the match. In fact, the bell ring, to start the match, lasted longer than the match.

many DID expected lesnar to break the streak, the thing is they never expected such underwealming ending, lesnar WAS choosen to win but the match was meant to last a lot more. Even this guy 00:04 said he knew lesnar would win but not like this.

WrestleMania XXX was the first time I saw WWE live on tv otherwise it'd only be telecasted later at night or day after initial ppv And when undertaker lost although I'm a more of Lesnar fan I was in complete shock and it took time for me to celebrate for Lesnar winning but I was also in tear at that time I thought that might be last we'd see undertaker
