Hello, Janine. My sincere apologies for not responding to your video sooner. I'm going through a rough time, as my mother died recently, and haven't been able to function normally and lack motivation to get moving. I have been doing these and the Win With Yoga exercises sporadically, and they are excellent for someone like myself who used to be active years ago and is eager to become flexible again to avoid injury. It is so crucial for women our age and older to stay flexible, as inflexibility can cause injuries due to tightening of the muscles and ligaments, hence being more prone or susceptible. Again, thank you for designing workouts that create flexibility without overexerting oneself. I'm a 64-year-old grandmother of a 1 and 1/2-year-old grandson and am determined to stay active and keep up with him as long as I can! Love your program! 😊

Love this routine. I am a yoga newbie but subscribed to your Fit and Flexible for women over 50. I am 69 and still a bit stiff in some poses but I can tell a difference already after a little over a week. You are such a good teacher and explain the details so well! Glad I found you!

Serendipitous post! I was here anyway and this served as a perfect wrapup for THIS morning, tho I will look forward to this as a morning vitamin☺️ Love side stretch on any day, but the fish gill movement is blissful! The breathing-timed lunge sequence at the end is *Chef’s kiss* and that elbow/arm opening-WHOA! Love to thoracic spine! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

It's a Pogamat! The XL Exercise Mat (not the yoga mat 😉) Highly recommend. Had them at our studio for years and they do not break down. Thanks for tuning in!

Thanks for your feedback! Downward facing dog can be modified by doing child's pose, a table top, or placing your hands up on a raised surface (I go over how to do that in this video --> kzfaq.info/get/bejne/sKiXlrl2xsrHoIk.html at about 6:50) You could also try 10-min Standing Hip Stretches --> kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pteeq65yqsuqp2g.html - all standing so you can build strength without downward dog. Hope this is helpful. Let me know! 😊
