Haven’t put the car on the dyno. But I mean if you look at my more recent videos with all my runs you can see this car PERFORMS for the simple setup…(ofcourse excluding that PBP sauce and all my weight reduction). But that being said, the ported 18 manifolds seem to work really well on these 6r80s.

I cant make up my mind on witch intake to get. This the Cobra jet or the ported Boss 302.

18 Manifold is way better and If you can get a ported 18 manifold that would be equivalent to a Non ported Cj for half the price. The 302 manifold is only good for boost applications, I’ve ran fbo cars with Boss 302 manifolds when I had a stock one and I would beat ‘em.

Ofcourse CJ is on top if your going max N/A. But your talking about a 300$ Boss 302 manifold to a 1,300$+ CJ and then you’d need Mono throttle which is like another 6-700$ and a cj intake aswell lol. Or get a Ported 18 manifold for 600 and pmas for 300 and your cars gonna RUN 🫱🏽‍🫲🏾

@@5ohIsaac I have a 14 gen 1. I plan on getting a Paxton novi 2200 SL. I heard the heads on them are restrictive vs the Gen 2’s. I think I’ll get a boss 302. Maybe the ported boss lol. I’m a Gm guy. I just inherited it from my dad. So this car isn’t going anywhere. He had plans on supercharging it but did get to. So I’m going to get it done for him to finish he’s build.

@@Marine2111usmc yeah like I said N/A a ported Boss isn’t going to do any good. Boosted is a whole different ball game. So yes if you’re going boosted definitely go with a ported Boss 302 to ge the most out of the car and throw some gen 2 heads and I would go as far as saying go with a gen 3 block. 3-2-1 setups are nasty boosted.

@@5ohIsaacall your manifold Info is wrong. Ported boss will outperform the ported 18 manifold and is also more customizable. Ported 18 might make similar peak power to a unported cj but it doesn’t hold that power like the boss or cj.

Porting of the 18 intake manifold makes little to no difference for anyone watching this wondering. Ask any of the top tuners that have nothing to gain from lying. *cough AUTOMAFIA *cough

Ported 18 is comparable to a CJ, and has done nothing but wonders on my setup. 😬

@5ohIsaac False. Ask any single tuner. Lund for example, says the ported 18 has little to no power gains when compared with a nonported 18. And you're delusional if you think a ported 18 is anywhere near a CJ

@5ohIsaac just look at dyno numbers, what's recommended by tuners, and literally every other piece of evidence available to you. And not dynos that stop at 7500 as the cobra jet revs way higher than that
