I live out in the middle of the woods in a rural area by the Olympic mountains, backed by 3500 acres of state forest land with bear, coyote, mountain lions, bobcats, fox, raptors... surrounded by wildlife & nature in it's primitive form. There's life-and-death struggle everywhere, 24/7. I've seen some pretty brutal, violent things. I've also seen tender, funny, amazing, and courageous animal behavior. Have calm, "gentle" deer in my yard every day who let me get within a couple of feet of them, but if they were pushed to it, they could kick your skull in with their pointy little toes and wouldn't think twice about it. 😵‍💫🦌
