How best to make it clear... Just say it, plain and straight. Most people appreciate honesty even though it may hurt them, than beating around the bushes. It is cruel to disappear without explanation because it leaves the person doubting themselves and their human worth (like am i not worthy enough to get some honesty or am i a monster that others are scared of me?). But it is also cruel to keep a slightly open door which shows them that you possibly treat them just as a backup plan.

Yes it is a piece of crap. But. Imagine a person who is deadly toxic. And you don't really like he person. And if you don't answer the phone he makes guilt trip the next time about it. I get panic attack whenever I see he's calling... so what to do if ghosting is so bad and the person doesn't accept NO or any gentle rejection as an answer and is manipulative and energy draining when you talk to him (or her)? Bro, as an INFP this hit home for me. Bro, literally anytime someone doesn’t respond, gets sad or angry, or starts ignoring me, I replay what I said recently with a very worried, confused look on my face. Asking “Is it because I said _____?” “IM SORRY!” “PLEASE FORGIVE ME! I DIDNT MEAN ANYTHING RUDE” Then the person is like “I’m just sad cuz my dog died, u didn’t do or say anything. Don’t worry about it. And stop saying sorry all the time, what were you even trying to apologize for anyway?” “MY WHOLE FRIKIN EXISTENCE!!!!” *storms off

I saw the thumbnail and thought even INTPs aren't that head in the clouds (believe me we do notice but often we don't push ourselves to be bothered about it) but the actual video is very accurate. Well done. I must say Frank James has improved a lot.
@chipsahoy6289
@chipsahoy6289 Жыл бұрын
I feel like it's more so that we don't push ourselves to be so bothered, that we allow it to poison every other aspect of our lives. Like, we love you very dearly, but no partner we have will ever be worth sabotaging our current or future quality of life for; when those have far more permanent consequences attached to it, than whatever relationship we have with our current partner does.
@JasonLaw29
@JasonLaw29 Жыл бұрын
@@chipsahoy6289 Agreed. I think that's why INTPs can come across as uncaring. It's also why a lot of INTPs are either unmarried or marry at an older age than most types. Lately, I feel this aspect is something we need to improve on.
@chipsahoy6289
@chipsahoy6289 Жыл бұрын
@@JasonLaw29 I feel like the aspect that we should work on is learning how to not get as worried about not hearing from our partners after an extended amount of time, than to be worried about not showing as much outward emotion. I think this because even though we won't act like we care when in front of others, when we're by ourselves or with our partners directly, we start expressing how worried we are or how angry we are because of how long it was since the last time we heard from them, even with the fact that we most likely know that our partner had a good reason for it. My boyfriend for example, works a job that gives him very little days off, if ever, and so we get lucky if we can even talk once a month now. I have never gotten mad at or blamed him for why it's that way; but I've also never hidden that it doesn't make me happy either. Not because he can't give me any attention mind you, but because he has admitted that his job causes him a lot of stress in his life to the point of being hospitalized from being overworked. So when I don't hear from him for a long time, I start assuming the worst might have happened to him. So, even though I don't allow that to cripple other parts of my life, that doesn't mean that I don't (or won't) go out of my way to send him messages from time to time to let him know that I'm worried about him, hoping that he'll respond back soon. Because then I know that he's ok.

As an ENTP, ghosting makes me extremely anxious. Especially because I myself would never ghost anyone on purpose. So when someone ghosts me, I literally freak out and google tons of stuff in hope of solving the issue without getting into an emotionl argument with the other person. You heard me right, healthy ENTPs don't actually want to hurt other peoples feelings. We try to avoid serious discussions as best as we can in fear of getting into uncomfortable situations with other people. In case of ghosting, or similar situations with friends in real life, we will try to get around the emotional part by pretending to be clueless about the situation. We will literally put on an overly nice naive persona (stereotypical ENFP) in hope that you'll get over it so that trouble can be avoided. I know this sounds manipulative and also passive agressive, and yes, we are a little mad at you for not telling us what we can do better, but don't want to let this anger out on you. I honestly hate putting on this "dumb child" persona, but I just don't know how to deal with situations like this in a proper manner. Maybe you can relate, or maybe you have adivce on how to handle these situations better. I'd be happy to listen.

I'm an INTP who's been stood up AND ghosted. But I definitely noticed, and I definitely went crazy over it, blowing up their phone with messages. I handled it more like the ENTP here, but considering that my Introversion is only at 54%, not much of a gap from an ENTP, this called me out, either way. 😅 If someone has a problem with me, or if I ask them out and they're not interested, I want them to say so directly to my face, to avoid this and wasting my time, which, honestly I think is ruder than just yelling at me and saying that they don't want to see me anymore. On the surface, I acted like I didn't care, but secretly hoped to see that person again, just to argue with them and make them feel like jerks about it. XD

Hey! I started watching your videos months ago and was pretty sure that I'm a fully introvert. But then I saw on your clips how much introverted people could be, also read the comments and didn't agree with them, often, also saw how much introverted my houseates really are. I discovered that I also have extrovert parts and that I like to talk with people, I'm just too shy and distrustful to feel comfortable in a new group. So now since I found out that I'm an ambivert (still in the introvert sprectrum, but not that much) I go out to meet new people, take phone calls, a.s.o.. Yesterday I adopted an introvert for the first time in my life and it felt really strange, but I was also happy. Thanks a bunch, you're videos were one of the first signs for me✨

As a single guy in his early to mid 30's - and an INFP - I've got to give you props for this- your impression of INFP's is SO spot on. On the one hand, I commend you, Sir. Well done. On the other hand, man I wish i was something other than an INFP - I think dating is the probably most difficult for people with this personality type. If women aren't waging war on us for unique personalities when we're together, then we, INFP's, are likely waging war on ourselves, internally and psychologically. I've never been married, with only a handful of relationships that lasted maybe a year tops before I got dumped - and no, I've never cheated on anyone. Usually, it's something about my unique personality - whether it be me being caught up in my own head, overthinking, overanalyzing, worrying. It's hard enough to put myself out there - most times I wear a shield outside while being lost in my own little world inside. I don't let many people it - it's difficult for me to do. Then, it doesn't help when, after you finally let someone in, they pull out the knife and put it right in my back. The result being psychological devastation - partially from the sadness of the breakup, partially from feeling alone, partially from the 'betrayal' from someone we care deeply about breaking up with us. The worst part is my mind seems to kick the shit out of me on top of that - replaying things over and over again. And each time the betrayal happens, the exterior wall grows stronger, the likelihood of another person getting past my exterior defenses decreases, and I trust less and less. All the while, suppressing the deep loneliness you feel inside - as the pain of feeling lonely doesn't compare to the pain of getting hurt. It's a really bad, self-perpetuating cycle which I desperately want to get out of. The sad thing too is, although INFP's are unique in this regard, we are some of the most loving, honest, loyal, trustworthy, caring, compassionate, selfless, hard-working, intelligent, wise, and warm personalities of them all. We long for true love - and all entails. We can be some of the BEST guys out there - yet most women won't give us that chance or take the time to understand how our unique minds and personalities work. INFP's are the good guys all the girls SAY they want but who lose to the assholes and dickheads. It's sad and incredibly frustrating at times. Hopefully, I'm just on my journey to find my partner in life; I hope I find her - or maybe this is it. In which, case: SHIT.

As an INFP, I feel this too much, it's kinda embarrassing you guys are exposing us. 😂 Quite recently, I had a chat with someone (my crush, lol), and we replied to each other after minutes, even hours lol, and it was me who sent the last reply after about 10 hrs, and he did not even click my message after that for about 3 days. I was overthinking a lot, but I also thought that probably he was way too busy with balancing work and school at the same time (which is extremely hard, tbh). I was also just thinking that he (whom I think is an INTJ) probably just doesn't think that I really would care or be hurt (which is completely untrue as an INFP huhu). Anyway, I made an excuse to message him after that during a time when I was sure he was active HAHA, and he did see my message and replied. I just gave an angry reaction on his reply after that (as a joke), and didn't reply too. Hahahaha 😂
