$190 Kubota G5200 Tractor! Will It Run & Drive? Let’s Fix It Up!

Fixing a few problems with the Kubota garden tractor I bought sight unseen at an online auction. Follow along as I make a few repairs to this little diesel and try to take it for a little test drive. Flat tires, dead batteries, and a small fuel issue are tackled in this video. A new tool for the woods and Woodyard! Plus I tried a new method to break the bead on the flat front tire and it worked great. I don’t always have the proper tools but I use what I have and improvise to get the job done!

The strap on the battery you were talking about is correct for Kubota. And that is the diesel filter for the Kubota small engines

One of my buddies neighborhood has a lawn tractor race every 4th of July between the neighbors and every year the Husqvarna tractor would win. My supplier Phil has a old small Kubota tractor that’s diesel powered, it’s pretty cool I should take a pic of it and post it on my community tab.

Ive got both of the tire changers from Harbor Freight... they both work well. Saves on busted knuckles and brand new swear words! One thing I do when putting in tubes is to remove the valve core, and then before putting any real pressure in, inflate the tube and then let it deflate to make sure any twists, kinks, and pinches are worked out. Then install the valve core and make it round. Never lost a tube doing it that way. Heck of a score on that little Kubota! If you need new tires, i would put the ag style tires on it for sure.

Heath, I would suggest using 2 crescent wrenches to go around the rim like on a tire machine they don't puncture tubes

Awesome Heath , ag tires are great . I run chains on all my garden tractors . I wouldn’t put tires on it till absolutely necessary . Tire chains are cheap !!

You got a good buy on that tractor . If you have anymore tubeless tires that keep leaking get some tireject that stuff works great . I had old atv tires that leaked through the dry rotted cracks & it sealed them up 100% . Works on sidewall & bead leaks also.

Your right about kubota, we sold a b7200 last year from the 80’s and still ran like new, we had Ag tires on ours, 🪵👍🏼🇺🇸

Good deal! Get you some tire spoons and dish washing liquid soap next time you have to do a tube. Make it a bit easier.

You can buy a manual tire machine made for those type of wheels. They cost under $100.. I got mine for $60. They break it down and everything and work very fast... In the US I think you can buy them at Harbor Freight and other places

I’m think just towing a small trailer, maybe the DR log trailer if it’ll handle it. Cruising around in the woods etc. if I can find a mower deck or maybe a snow plow blade I’d love to pick them up.

Do you have any garden tractor pulling clubs around your area? I just got my son into it this past August, he pulled a half dozen times since then and is having a blast. He actually looks like he’s having to much fun so I had to get one myself for next year lol. I know the guys that we pull with have a diesel class. Take care
