An identical S90 was my only ride for two years in late Sixties. Of all my many bikes, this was by far the friendliest and best handling. One day I had to keep an appointment 55 miles away, and then return home. Couldn’t borrow a vehicle from family’s company, so only choice was to ride the bike. Cruised at 55, and got there just in time. On the way home, riding near a huge lake, the willow flies came out at dusk and splattered all over me. But the bike, and the trip, we’re outstanding!

that's a great story 👏 I'm currently bidding on one of these (in red) 4 days left in auction so wish me luck

My first motorcycle was a Honda 65. A friend up the road had one of these. I thought the S90 was a real hoss! We had a lot of fun on those bikes. I’m still riding today, 53 years later. My current ride is a Heritage Softtail Classic. It’s black, like that first Honda 65. Probably the last bike I’ll ever own.

I inherited my dad's '65 S90 last year when he passed away. Just under 7800 miles. Still have the original bill of sale ($453.83 on 06/18/1965) as well as title and service records. Hasn't run for years... he kept it in his basement for the past 20+ years. Brought it home and parked it next to my bike ('86 Honda Shadow VT1100)... looks so small.

Wow, great memories. Burned up the country side in 69' on one of these. Got my MC License at age 13 in Tenn. on a 50cc Suzuki the following year. Have owned and ridden many a bike since then. Worked in the industry for 15 years as well as Raced Motocross and Cross Country. Once you jump on one of these, you're hooked!

This was my Dad's bike (same model not the actual bike you show here), and I was born in 1966. I rode as a passenger, and later as the operator. Lots of fondness for this bike. Had I seen this video when it came out, I'd have paid your price plus shipped it to Canada to my place. Oh well. Such is life.

This was my first bike and I paid $125 for it in '73 with a 100cc piston kit in it. I learned to ride and jump on it then traded it in at Ed Kretz Honda in L.A. for a new 74 XR-75. They gave me $75 against the $470 for the XR and a free Buco Helmet!

A friend of mine had one exactly the same bike. Wed RIP doing 50 on the off road trails 2 up. And on the street in our unincorporated township. Had pulling power torque, and some speed would go more than fast enough on the trails even though it was a street bike. Great memories.

I bought a '64 S90 new and rode the dogdooty out of it. Had to do lots of engine, sprocket, and chain repairs as a result. But I had a ton of fun on it. Had it go as fast as 72 MPH with a tailwind.

Pretty nice bike, the S90 was the upgrade dream in 70’s for the 50cc owners.

Yes! I upgraded in mid-Sixties, from a Honda 50. Vastly better and faster than the 50. I felt blessed every day I rode my S90!

My dad has an unrestored red 69' S90 that's in very good condition. Still has the original title and all original paperwork from the day it was purchased. He's had it for about 30 years now. I've been searching for awhile now for a blue 69'.

Being young and stupid I bought one of these in Coolum Queensland Australia on my way up to far north Queensland in 1977. This great little bike took me some 4200 km before dying on my return at Bowen. RIP (rust in peace)

That was my very first true motorcycle right down to the year... 1965. I was 16. My previous ride was a Cushman-Eagle scooter with the lawnmower engine, reverse twist accelerator and two-gear tank shift.

I bought a slightly used one when I was 16 for $200. I had never ridden a motorcycle before so I had to ask the guy who was selling it to show me the controls. He showed me and I went ok, and I drove it around the block and I said I would take it. You never forget your first bike.

Had one of these back in the 70's, rode it to work everyday, a really fun bike to ride considering it's small capacity. Mine was good except the battery kept going flat (thinking back it was probably the reg/rec) economical and great around the bends, light and great handling. The ones you see now as said in the video are usually shabby and brush painted, which is a pity, they're great bikes for around town.

@dalewalker46145 жыл бұрын
My S90 had a tall trail sprocket & would pop a wheelie, but I gutted a couple of rear hubs doing them. It was a bugger to take out all of the spokes & install rim & spokes on a new hub, and then try to round and align the wheel. Other than that, the bike was indestructible!
