I have one just like it only lime green bought it in 1973 and still own it today. Still Sports the original paint job. It runs like a Swiss watch. Bought it for $1,900.

I got several good deals back in the day. My first was a 68 GTO with a ram air motor in it. This was in 75. It had around 80k on it and the timing chain went out. one owner. a girl in Atl. Bought it for 450 bucks and spent a hundred getting the timing chain fixed. Next up a 65 Mustang GT with the pony interior and B/W T-10 4 spd. This was in 76. Paid 950 for it. It ran great but needed some brake work. Replaced rear wheel cylinders and that was done.

My 67 fastback with the only Windsors worth their weight, a 289 then 302. At least when considering cylinder head airflow. Ford put the same heads on their 351W! Lame. Nothing of which matched the 2V version of these awesome Cleveland motors. My 1st Clevor 289 was with 2V heads and my oh my is their a difference. Had to change pistons to bring up compression as I only have open chamber 2V and 4V heads. I have the 289, 351W, 351C-2V, 351C-4V, 318 chrysler, and the nicer sbc head of the time on one of my work benches to show the differences in port sizing. Cleveland blows (or sucks!-airpump!) them all away. I am building a 1982 Nascar Winston Cup 351 version with the best of Cleveland and Windsor attributes with a set of aluminum, closed chamber version of Cleveland 4v heads that we are deciding on how big the cubes should go. Anyways, absolutely beautiful mustang that will be a 6 figure car in the not too distant future. Original Boss mustangs hit that mark 1st. 429 then 351 Cleveland, Bossed up! As fas as cylinder heads go, no manufacturer is better as when all things are equal, timing and skill are all that are in play. Bad names come from morons(like myself at times) improperly assembling, sealing, or maintaining said engines. Lol
