this game was from 1984. The next year was the Patriot playoff game choke. The way I look at it that year in 85 the Patriots did the Raiders a favor by beating them and being the one's who would take the beating from the Bears in the Super Bowl.

@@johnmongani5223 oh yes sorry my mistake....I cant believe I made that error...but I do disagree ...New England was no match for the Bears that year, but the Raiders were...the bears defense was the reason they won and I believe the Raiders defense was just as good at times....and I would give the Raiders offense a slight edge against Chicago's as long as Plunkett was at the helm or even Hilger ...anyone but Wilson....either way, they would not have taken a beating from the bears

@@user-kx3fx4eo9i yes the Super Bowl would have been closer with the Raiders in there. Chicago and the Raiders played the year before in Chicago and the Bears won 17-6. Both teams had serious injuries to their quarterbacks.

@@johnmongani5223 Yes I remember that game....I think all the qb's went to the hospital and I believe David Humm got know out of the game and never returned to football at all

John already said it...but also, Plunkett was on the injured reserve in 1985 after getting his shoulder hurt vs the 49ers in Week 3
