1996 Chevy Blazer 0-60

This is my ‘96 Blazer. It is meant for work rather than speed as you can see. It is a light-duty truck
Specs:
Teal green metallic 1996 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer LT 4 door 4x4 4.3 liter Vortec V6 - 4 speed automatic with column shifter. 190 hp @ 4400 rpm. 250 torque @ 2800 rpm. And yes I did stop completely the speedometer just lagged. 1 qt Lucas oil additive put in recently.
Disclaimers:
No brake boost
4wd not used
Low gear not used
No timer
Just plain old “floor it”

Not fast, but blazers are so underrated in this body. They’re clean, small, enough room for a v8 swap. And I’ve never gotten stuck in the snow/mud with one of these, had a 97 zr2 that never let me down. If it didn’t get stolen in 2016, I would still have it in the lot.

I got stuck once…it was because I ran through a 2 ft deep mud hole at stock height and street tires…only reason it stopped is bc it bottomed out on the pumpkin lmao

Love these blazers, I’ve got a 02 blazer ZR2 with the 5speed manual, a lot of fun to drive.

I'm surprised how 'short' it's geared for what it is! High stall converter maybe? It is 4L60 right?

Looks like the 4.10 rear end. Most of these came with 3.42 rear ends. This is likely a 4x4 with tow package.

I have the same year and color, im 18 amd the second owner. 46K miles for $3,300. That vortec is awesome it can haul ass when it needs to but has really good low end torque especially in 4 low

nice it was my first vehicle i got it when i was about to turn 17 and it still runs good to this day 3 years later. currently in the process of putting new plugs and wires on it. at idle its shaky and replaced vacuum lines for hvac and a couple other odds and ends. big concern right now is the oil cooler lines that go to the oil filter adapter underneath the skid plate. I’d check those out if I were you, mines leaking oil out of there and has been for a while I just recently discovered.

I had an engine light on one time for an O2 sensor couple years back. Replaced it and it never came on for anything else since then. I am as shocked as you are honestly.
