I needed this! THANK YOU LOL! I literally watched your starter loc video 100xs while doing mine lol I just hit my 1 year mark last month & I will probably combine some of mine ASAP! My only question is, have you ever gotten a retwist or do you strictly interlock? I interlock but I’ve been wanting to try a retwist just to get more of a loc look

Congratulations on your first year!! 💕 And no I’ve only interlocked. I used to think I wanted to get them palm rolled for the same reason but this year the look of my hair just changed on it’s own. I guess because they’re maturing. I also decided against retwist because I don’t want to add a lot of products to my hair.

So do you interlock the new hair growth or do you twist it?

I interlock still. Retwisting wouldn’t last.

Do you use a 3 point or 4 point rotation when you interlock your locs?

It depends on how much new growth each loc has but typically I do a 4 because I try to wait 3 months in between retightenings.

Nope they’re lightweight I can wear them up all day and not get a headache unless it’s too tight

You could've just twisted your locs together to combine them

Yea but I’ve only gotten my hair interlocked so the loc isn’t as soft as it would be if I would’ve palm rolled them so it wouldn’t look right to me.
