Was this the engine variant found in late 3800's? My school district used to have '03 and '04 3800's with that engine (no egr) and it had fewer problems than the EGR DT466E's

What’s the price if I was to have a shop do this? Mine is mixing coolant in the oil. I heard a pop yesterday but was running fine. Drove home and by the time I got home (4 miles) low coolant warning came on. It’s blowing oil water on turbo.
