I just recent had the same issue,lol Dorman don't know ish as well, cause they don't state it's after market for newer radiators! So I had a slow leak on the top oil cooler line, so what I did was slipped a oRing on the same original bolt cause i believe i have the original radiator, even though the pressure popped the oring, the leak stopped, but just got a new cooler line in the mail today, but if anyone is having the same issue stick a oRing on the oil cooler line bolt, preferably that same flat vs a bubble oring which is what I used henceforth why it popped but haven't leaked since so I've been driving with no issue since, about 3 months now!

You should not use thread sealant on the fittings. They seal on the o-ring, not the threads.

have you had any issues with your trans slipping, or starting go out because of the coolant and trans fluid mixing due to the radiator "breach" or failure? I had this same issue in Dec/Jan and had a radiator replaced but at no time was my trans flushed or serviced nor was it recommended. my trans started slipping, then the lock up torque conv seemed to be engaging and disengaging and now I have no shifting into 2nd or any other gears. after researching I am positive this coolant in the trans fluid had ultimately ruined my trans over time. I'm wondering if I have a valid complaint or can get restitution from the service shop. I've had it back once because the upper hose blew off to which they stated the hoses would "deteriorate and go bad from the trans fluid circulating." they replace for free but wanted $700+ to replace the rest of my "possibly deteriorated" hoses. I passed, but just. ow noticed the quick disconnect on the pass upper trans coolant line (hard line) leaking at the inlet and loose. So do I fight this repair I paid for 7 months ago, 5000 miles ago or take it as a loss? trans estimates are $3000-4000!

When buying the oil cooler lines did you run into the problem of two different size oil cooler lines ? Have the same truck but ours runs lines run further left

Must be the from the 2500 hd with the lq9. I have a 04 denali. Ours has the lq4 engine. It wouldnt surprise me if gm was that petty lol

You could just buy a block off plate from Jegs or Summit Racing. Cut the lines in a couple places, pull the lines out, and then screw down the block off plate. Easy, and you save over a hundred bucks. The lines go to the radiator to heat the oil, heating it quicker for mileage and emission concerns. Change the oil like you should and the engine will be fine.
