Thanks for the video. It worked and "reset" the fuel meter/gauge. It did just what you explained. You should include something about the TIMING of the sequence for viewers, though. If you do it TOO SLOW (like I did several times, while I was reading the paper step by step) it WILL NOT work.... nothing will happen. It will just sit at the ODO reading and never change to the weird number sequence. If you do it QUICKLY and IMMEDIATELY after the display lights up, it will work. Another thing I found out which may cause others trouble, is this: If you don't put 4+ gallons in the tank when fueling, it won't register. You could put 3 in and DRIVE to another gas station, then put 3 more in and drive to another, and keep doing this till it's full.... and your fuel meter will still be at one bar (or where ever it was when you do this). You'll have to do THIS reset so the gas tank/float/ECU understands that some cheapskate put 2 gallons in the tank and it needs to be reset LOL. I had this problem with an '08 I bought. It would read 0 bars (empty) and I would fill it up, but it would only take 6.2 gallons of fuel. Did this several times before looking into it. Turns out I was filling it up and only using about HALF the tank before the gauge THINKS it's empty, when in fact it has about 6 gallons left in the tank. Because someone didn't put 4+ gallons in on more than one occasion, there were basically 6 gallons in the tank that the sensor/ECU/etc. didn't know was there. WHO doesn't fill their gas tank all the way up when they go to the station???! I am by no means wealthy and even when I was 16 with my old beat-up Toyota corolla and working at a pizza place... I ALWAYS filled it up. I don't get it.

With gas prices currently your actually asking "who doesn't fill up their tank" when they go to the station? Lol... Shits like 60$+ lol

@@Pixel2dreamz Uh, my RAM 2500 work truck is diesel and it's 130$ to fill up. I still fill it up.

Info from Texas Hybrid batteries when I purchased a rebuilt combination meter. After installation of the combination meter, you need to reset the inclination sensor on the fuel gauge for it to read accurately. It is not a fix for the fuel gauge problem reading half or full wrong. It is only to be used, to my knowledge, after you have replaced a combination meter due to your instrument panel being "black lit" and not showing speedometer, fuel gauge, gears etc. NS

Mine is stuck at 1 bar. Did this after I put in $10 of gas, the process worked, but it didn’t change the bars any? Still stuck on 1 bar.. I know there is more than 1 bars worth! What to do now? Try it again? or is it hard on the system to run this test multiple times in a short period of time?

@@steveg8127 the gas gauge only changes if 4 or more gallons are put into the gas tank at a time. Had that problem once. I put in 2 gallons and nothing, thought the gas pump shorted me. Then went to two other gas stations and put in 2 gallons at each. So it should’ve read 6 gallons but since I never put more than 4 gallons on any of those fill ups it didn’t register.

I had same problem it was 5 bars And after I drove it for 50 mile It drop down to 3 bars I filled it up again and still at 3 bars I drove it again and it goes dow to 2 bars And I stopped driving it because I don’t want it to go at 0 bar my question is can I keep driving it with gas in tank but 0 bars in screen or when it get to 0 bars it will stop automatically even it has gas in tank

I also had an issue getting it to work. What he doesn't explain that I figured out by trial and error is TIMING. You have to do it QUICKLY. I was reading instructions and HOLDING the buttons and going SLOW... and nothing happened. You have to just press and hold and double tap the power button about half a second in between. Then AS SOON as the dash lights up, press the ODO button three times and HOLD. THEN you should see the numbers change. If you do it "slow" it won't work. Again, it's a timing thing. Good luck.

@@rogergarcia4490 I posted why I think it's not working for you. It's a timing issue I believe. The instructions are correct, they just lack information about TIMING the sequence.
