2009-2019 Toyota Rear Drum Brake to Disc Brake Conversion Installed On 2009 Corolla S Turbo
This is a step by step of me doing a rear drum brake to disc brake conversion on my 2009 Corolla S Turbo 5MT. For the 10th Gen Corolla, 2009-13, only the XRS model came with rear disc brakes. I tried to show how simple of a swap this really is but if you have any questions please feel free to ask. The 11th Gen Corolla uses the same parts so this will also be the same for any models that had drum brakes too.
The parts can be bought new, used, or from a salvage yard. The parts are the same for the 2009-10 Corolla XRS sold in the US. The rear disc parts are also the same that were used for the 11th Gen Corolla S/SEsedan from 2014-19 that came with rear disc brakes.
I used new parts as I couldn't find anything used or from a salvage yard in my area. The only aftermarket parts that I used here the EBC Redstuff rear brake pads and rotors from R1 Concepts.
I hope this helps show how easy this process it. I will do a separate video on the swapping of the parking brake cables. I didn't show how to bleed the brakes as I've done videos on that and there are many on KZfaq in addition to mine.
Thanks for watching and please like and subscribe to help us little guys on KZfaq!
