Them darn VW 5 cylinders are tuff sounding but in this basic configuration it definitely needs a more tuned exhaust note.

Milk2Percent I think because straight pipe is a “ricer” thing instead of buying a performance exhaust system. Even tho I have a OBX exhaust on my rabbit I wouldn’t mind a straight pipe as long as it’s not insanely loud😂

i straight piped my 2012 2.0 jetta and it sounds aggressive on cold start but once it warms up that rasp goes away. Sounds better than any civic. maybe someday ill post what it sounds like.

A resonator on that would help in my opinion, get rid of the rasp at high RPM but still have it loud

Only reason it’s raspy in the vid is because it isn’t fully warmed up yet. Sounds a lot better warmed up

I have the same exhaust set up i removed the resonator it sounds good & kept the muffler its no where near as loud and raspy as this. Yall think mine would sound like this? i have a UM tune/flash on 93 gas with Apr intake once i got that stuff done the engine tone got more deeper. I’m thinking about removing the muffler & doing straight pipe keeping the cat. I already have the resonator removed. What Yall think ?

@@iamBwash Not at all and it’s probably because I kept stock size piping. And yes it pops and crackles not that obnoxious though it diles down when it’s kinda warm on downshifts it’s good. I plan on slapping my resonator on and getting high flo cats to get an even clearer sound 🔥

Lmao he just called the mid suitcase muffler a resonator? Ha but not gonna lie I like the sound, I would’ve for sure put a muffler at the end tho like a magma, cherry bomb or apr but eh it still sounds good too me that VAG engineering at its finest with them pops and rumbles

LMAO PEOPLE ACTUALLY DO THIS TO A JETTA......we've been having problems with my sisters 05 and a half jetta and we cant figure out wtf is up might be the o2 sensors with the cat being bad or this and that theres a million things that could have gone wrong with it but havent rlly had much time to figure it out so i kept joking saying fuck it if its the cat then cut it out and lets straight pipe the baby so i got curious to see if anyone is stupid enough to straight pipe a jetta and here i am yt is a wonderful place that fulfills my needs

Oh God not the sound of an automatic shifter !! 🤮🤮🤢🤮🤮🤮 I got a clean ass 2013 jetta automatic all I was curious in was how her voice was I never touched my exhaust but this guy FOR SURE should've been in manual mode
