Just hit 46k miles on my 21’ RAV4. Oil change every 5k miles, cabin and air filter every 10k miles, rear did fluid changed at 30k miles, front diff at 45k miles, my transmission fluid will be changed at 60k miles (taking it to the dealer) ….great vehicle!! I used it for light trails, camping, road trips.

Great video! I love my 2020 AWD RAV4 XLE. Purchased new in late 2020, right before the COVID madness. Zero issues, comfortable ride, excellent visibility, a pleasure to drive. LOVE the adaptive cruise control and lane assist, def makes long highway drives much easier. So true what you said about the heated steering wheel. It was something I never thought I'd ever need, but after having it I'll never get a car without it; same goes for the heated seats, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, auto dim head lights & keypad entry. Next DIY upgrade will be a Start-X kit for remote starting on cold winter days.

Just got a 2020 RAV 4 LE with 18,569 miles. Immediately my wife loved it -- of course, time will tell. However, a very smooth ride, great visibility, great pickup (compared to her previous car {just like you said, no need to slander on other car brands haha}), honestly just a pleasure to ride in. I already knew going in that it would be a car with a lot of value & and a car that would hold that value. Love the safety features, automatic lane assist & automated cruise control, etc. Solid car so far, for sure. Looking forward to seeing where it takes us!

My wife and I bought a new 2020 RAV4 here in Canada. We have 140 000km on the vehicle now. And I have to say we are very disappointed with it. 1)When we first bought it we had a rattle in the seatbelt adjustments we took it in and they fixed it under warranty 2) later on we had a rattle coming from the ceiling where the map lights were located so we took it in again and they fixed it but then as we drove for a little bit the whole map like assembly fell completely off. So we brought it back in and they forgot to put in a metal bracket that keeps it solid. 3) couple of thousand kilometers after that my wife just put her coffee in the cup holder and one of the supporters Springs broke and went inside the center console. we got that fixed from Toyota. 4) all our kids play hockey and my wife was trying to fold the seat down and the spring inside one of the folding chairs broke inside when putting in the hockey bags. At this point we were out of warranty and cost us $300 to get it fixed. 5) just recently the power window on the passenger side quit and we took it in Toyota and they said that the components inside the door frame are all rusty. Fix for that was $1,500. 6) the fuel light when low on gas which usually you have a reserved 50 or 100 km left in the tank, however we've seen the fuel light come on and only giving us 12 if not 9 km left. My wife has ran out of gas twice. Toyota said this is normal it's not an accurate number. So we keep it Jerry can inside the trunk. 7) other annoyances for me is the touch screen is very slow at response and we did lose the voice to text and can't seem to get it back. And for the price we paid it was pretty cheap for Plastics all around that can be easily scratched. On the plus side it has an incredible reliable motor and Powertrain. Mind you completely boring to drive compare to my 13 Accord sport manual.

Yes the Gas Only RAV4 is a decent vehicle. Before we purchased our RAV4 we use to rent one once a year during the summer. We rented it for one week. And we always got the Gas Only Model. I use to do the mileage the old fashioned way. Paper and a Pencil with Arithmetic. We always got around 32mpg and this was a full rounded week long trip. A little City mixed with Highway miles. All in all around 600 miles in total. That surprised me. Since those days we purchased a 2022 RAV4 Limited Hybrid with both the Tech & Weather Packages. (To me it is NOT a Limited if it does not have those two packages) We love our RAV4 Hybrid. I have only put on 10K miles in two years That is 5K per year. Not bad. I will say that the visibility is not perfect at all. I have trouble with the A Pillar. (Like a lot of vehicles now a days) The A Pillar is quite thick with the Air Bag inside. A few times now I have almost pulled out in front of someone not 'seeing' them at an intersection. The 'Timing' has to be perfect for me to pull up and the other vehicle stays within that Blind Spot. So now I am so careful at ANY intersection I pull up to. It is funny since I have brought this up with family and friends they too have noticed that 'Blind Spot' due to the A Pillar being so Thick. However all in all the RAV4 is a wonderful vehicle. I am retired now and this fits into my Fixed Income Lifestyle. We were able to purchase it back in early spring of 2022. I traded in my 2012 Tacoma Pick Up and I also saved up a fair amount on money to put down. We got a 3 year loan at 2.24% right before they started to climb up. I am happy to say that I paid off the vehicle after 22 months. So it is nice to know we own our Limited RAV4 Hybrid out right. And we plan on keeping it for at least 15 years if not more. (I even bought the 10 Extended Warranty as well) Good Luck with your RAV4 and I hope to see another Update Video soon.

Congratulations and mazel tov! I have a 2015 rav4 with 65k miles. I bought it in 2018 with 45k, toyota certified pre-owned for a bargain price. I love it! Hope it's the last car I ever buy and at my age and with rav4 longevity it'll probably be the case. I agree on the tires, the dealer put on a new set at purchase, I rotated every 5k but they're definitely worn more than I'd expect.

Hi....thanks for the video - question to RAV4 community - planning to buy this one as well, but heard that there is a problem with poor quality of interior -> lots of rattling sound during the drive (from arm rest and left down corner, where windshield is meeting the dashboard). Anybody can comment if that was just faulty model reviewed or its common problem of RAV4?

You are lucky my 2020 Rav4 has 18K miles but it has mechanical issues: , I have radiator fluid leaking into the engine block, the control arm wobbles; power steering is leaking fluid . The dealer wants 5K for the repairs. NOt everyone is so lucky. If the vehicle is made in JAPAN you will have no issues, but if the car is make in USA the quality and engineering skill is lower. I got it used to 2020 for limited January of 2022 and I drove it basically between a 150 to 250 miles on the daily basis because I do deliveries and it's been about 9 months that I've had the car and I bought it with 10000 miles on it and it's a Japan model so the recalls don't apply to the Japanese models So that's good and the car has 54000 miles so I put roughly 44000 miles in the past 9 months you could do the math and you could do the math and ever since I got the car I always got like a random faint smell of like rotten eggs and it'll be like random it'll be Southern like nothing will trigger it is not because I was speeding is not because I was going up the hill it's not because I made a hard stop it was just randomly come on and as of late when I got my last oil change at like you know 53000 miles My car has like this very faint light smell of like burning water or some sort of like rubber is not strong enough for anybody to To notice but since I drive this car today I know when something changes even the vista slightest and it's like this mellow is like it creeps up into your throat and like you could feel like eat away at you And I thought maybe it was you know the new brakes that I installed and broaders from autozone I don't like things from autozone but I really needed them fast I didn't go oh yeah Toyota rotors and brakes but still ongoing I'm going it's still happening so you don't want to charge me $200 to diagnose the issue but I was like no thank you just make sure my flu is are topped off and change my oil I've changed the oil on the regular basis I don't do every 5000 or 7500 miles I do every 10000 miles or so and and the tires I make sure I rotate them I stay on top of the brakes and that's pretty much it has been a reliable vehicle it is uncomfortable though for a family of 4 people I've had a newborn daughter And my four-year-old daughter in this car and it feels tight I regret not getting the 2019 Highlander and the reason why I say 2019 highlanders because I don't like the 2020 Highlander looks well Tony Highlander looks way too feminine too curvy AT only bigger but I like 2" and they added all this luxury stuff inside which to me doesn't even matter I'm moreover utilitarian type of guy and the 2019 highlanders still looks hardcore honestly the rav 4 20 20 body I believe deeply was supposed to be the new Highlander body but for reasons I think Toyota wanted to make the Highlander more upscale appealing model For the masses and the raft 4 sales I guess they didn't want them to die out so they gave the rough forward to redesign instead and they gave it this rugged look which is beautiful but I felt like this was supposed to be the next Highlander I put the route 4 with the 2019 Highlander side-by-side with is like 2" bigger and it's like 2" longer the wheelbase is exactly the same length they're both the same height they both offer the same economical space it's crazy And the reason I say why I regret not buying the 2019 Highland there is simply because of the space having a dark row really comes in handy my kids love their rose but I feel like in a long trip you do feel cramped up eventually the rap for is a smaller vehicle inside is more compact I feel like some of its interior items like the door panels are just way too bulky they couldn't make them smaller to offer more space especially for the back and there is just no headroom obviously the car has a low roof that's just the styling of it but I'm always hitting my head in this car and I'm only 5' 9" If you ever do a full turn off the wheels and then you turn them all the way back you're gonna hear it like a rubbing clunking noise and that's just the rubber bushings , And I can tell you that usually happens when it's cold outside during the summer I didn't really hear it much I don't happen every now and then like it maybe you're going reversed downhill but the brakesqueak a lot and Make a terrible howling noise when you're a nice soft polished concrete pavement like parking lots And I haven't changed the back Breaks yet only the front so maybe it's just a sign of weren't there and they gotta get changed but when I do break hard even though the front has new brakes my break hard it does make a growling noise as if the automatic breaking system is kicking in but obviously is my foot that's going to break but when I have like a sudden heartbreak I'll feel it and then afterwards every time you break you'll hear it grow but here we go and it's very like rough I check on the brakes to see it maybe they're like rubbing too much against the roaders are eating a way Add it but I don't see nothing everything seems normal overall overall I beat up this car every day mile after a mile after mile after mile it's all highway miles my deliveries are mainly up here in the Westchester area of New York the car does feel looser you know when I 1st bored it it was nice and stiff it was basically brand new no scratches no nothing only had 10000 , The suspension feels a little bit loser I do have to get a wheel alignment at the front because I not because I found that my left brakes were completely in a way on one side and my left tire was rubbing out unevenly so I guess after so much driving and alignment was necessary and believe me it is gonna be a necessity because you'll find yourself struggling to drive the car because the wheel is gonna want to go the opposite way I use the autopide a lot so that helps but I don't trust it sometimes but definitely those are like the only issues I ever had with the round floor Or just for anybody that wants to know I drive this car like a maniac every day or like a maniac everyday and long distances as well as I mentioned before so anybody that's gon to get this car as a deli driver or just a commute Or maybe take the kids around like soccer mom type car this car will be amazing choice just keep up with the maintenance and it will be long and smooth because I already basically put 4 years worth of miles into this car in 9 months and I could tell you it's pretty good standing looks brand new still smells brand new but I have those sudden smells that coming to the cabin sometimes as I'm speaking on the voice text the smell just came on now but it goes away quickly, When you step out of vehicle and you smell and the tire wheel Wells you could kind of smell it if anybody knows what it is please feel free to respond to my message but overall Ralph Forbes assault of vehicle definitely a couple's car in my opinion but when you have when you have 2 kids you're better off getting a bigger S UV to be honest. Especially when you have family over they can come with you because your kids take up the whole bag so it's always good to have emergency seats at least so either you could put your kids back there or put some Adults back there or other kids or vice versa it's just very limited and being that it is a compact car on the inside of this compact you do have the drive train hump in the middle Which doesn't help and is a very low ceiling car mind you I have the panoramic a moon roof so when it's open you have extra hair room for the middle people at least but it's usually closed in the summer time because the sun will just cooking inside and that was a big thing with me with this car getting the panoramic roof and take it from me somebody who's obsessed with that and I would not buy the car unless it had it it is completely useless I mean it's sort of a purpose but now that I have it it's like it should never be a guidance or a determination of if you're gonna buy a car or not that's just my own stupidity but believe me Skip it
