Lot of money for a 4 banger. New stuff doesn't catch my interest. Not at the prices being asked. I'm going backwards in the Toyota catalog. Just bought a '12 Sienna Limited AWD with the 2GR-FE V6 for road trips and around town. If I can find a nice FJ and a manual Yaris, then I'm set for a while

N. O. You can get a Ford Ranger Raptor for almost 18k less. After Covid the auto industry has lost its mind with pricing. Not to mention to much plastic for that price point. And that’s ALL OF THEM.

Has 4 cyc turbo gets facts correct before commenting. 6 cyc only has problems on non hybrid models

@@hermanpeters549The recall is only on non hybrid models because Toyota says it's not a safety issue since you can use electric power to get off the road if the engine poops itself. The engine is still at risk of all the same problems.

I’ve got a 2003 vw Jetta/bora 1.9 tdi sport pd130… It’s a 6 owner No service history Just clicked on 284000 miles Doesn’t smoke Burns 1tr of oil every 3000 miles only becouse the turbo is worn It does 40mpg around town And 52mpg on motorway

@@VikingsGarage i found a VERY crude video of 2 minutes... it looks buried underneath the valve solenoid wiring and May need a Hex Key to remove the plug to access the filter and dig it out with a tweezer or pick

Torture tech 25+.. NEVER EVER SPRAY THROTTLE BODY CLEANER IN THE THROTTLE BODY OF ANY TOYOTA. IT KILLS RUBBER SEALS AND PLASTICS GASKETS. Just wish to INFORM. Keep the informative videos coming. 👍🏼👍🏼

I have a 2003 CRV and a 2006 Ridgeline and 2006 Pilot. CRV is a spare car, the truck i use for towing my boat and going to the dump, Pilot is my daily now but i work 10 miles from home. Those get the oil changed yearly when my Va. State Inspection is done because they get less than 3k miles on them a year. The recently 2016 4 Runner which replaced Pilot that i am now driving is the wifes daily and our weekend car will be done every 5k.

one would think so BUT! there is a cold engine start knocking rattle on the 2TR-FE that THIS might be the culprit, we shall see in about 4 to 5 months

I just recently found this out on my newly bought 2016 4Runner with 67k. Not happy that this was not disclosed when buying but my bad for not taking the car to have it checked but i drove 2 hours to look at the car. Looks like alot of folks do away with the system and use Bilstein because it not "serviceable".???

Just wondering shouldn't that be part of the regular maintenance in the owners manual for the 4runner. Also how much were both filters from toyota. I wish you would have shown us this on the runner, but you probably still have very low mileage on it. Looking forward to your next video.

No worries, each filter was about $9. I will indeed do the same job on the 4Runner sooner then later. (Toyota should include it in the maintenance schedule but let’s face it, they are more interested in selling you another vehicle sooner than later)

Good morning, I have 2 questions, I paid someone that changed the 4 brakes with Nakamoto brake pads,now I have a noise when I am driving and disappear when you applied the brakes, but the dealer can’t find nothing wrong, what could it be? The other is I store my 4Runner inside my garage in Houston(very hot and humid) now is a bad smelling like something rotten but can find what is this, could be mold? Do you have a video of how to clean the AC?just guessing, if anyone has a clue please tell me, thanks in advance

It all depends, theirs a few. Not very simple of a question to answer. Easy way to find out , look up your engine parts pic on the parts page and see if it has one.
