Drinking Homemade Liquor with Old Lebanese Men 🇱🇧 | Deir El Qamar

Күн бұрын

A city tour of Deir El Qamar quickly turns into a hangout with the locals where our guide Michele goes above and beyond (in the nature of Lebanese Hospitality) by inviting us to his cafe and even his own home to try a variety of his homemade desserts & drinks ▼ MORE BELOW ▼
🌿 Later in the video, I go on a hike in the surrounding hills with local guides and learn about Lebanon's plants & their medicinal purposes (I feel somewhat prepared if I ever get lost in the wild forests of Lebanon 😜).

christianity started in Lebanon ( Phoenicia ) with Jesus himself ... Mary his mother was from Qana Village in south Lebanon where Jesus performed his permformed his first miracle turning water into wine in a marriage celebration of his mother's relatives .. in Tyre Lebanon was built the first ever cathedral to honour the virgin Mary.. Romans and Jews persecuted Jesus , only Lebanese canaanites followed him at the beginning

Thank you. I wish I had money to send you or just go visit. I was born an American with a Lebanese born grandfather and grandmother and my father was the 1st generation born here in the USA. I've never been to Lebanon and your videos are so filled with good information from wildlife to city by city demographics. Food religion sites to behold places to put on a bucket lists, and how the people are surviving. I love seeing the businesses the free things for enjoyment. I have not yet seen on any vlog the Lebanese orchestra nor performance theatre. I know they have one. I googled them. I would love to see more of their fine arts. My grandfather was born in the late 1800s he grew up in Hardine. He and my grandmother married and came to make their home in the USA in 1919 during ottoman occupation. He told me stories about his far away beginnings a beautiful country he loved, being destroyed by war. He proudly spoke of being able to ski down a mountain and at the bottom could swim in water as warm as my bath water. As he described it I fell in love with it too. Thank you for bringing Lebanon to me. Hopefully I will visit one day.❤

The effort you made to pick up some of the language is awesome. You even picked up "1600!" Great work! So Fakhr El Din came up a few times. He was an emir from Mt Lebanon who led a rebellious campaign by the locals against the Ottomans. The Lebanese credit him with the idea of an independent "greater Lebanon".
