McGilton’s ZL1 Camaro brings the Pro Street term to an entirely new level, boasting mid-7 second runs and nearly 200 mph performances. Sure, there have been quicker Pro Street cars. Adding the Rocky Mountain Race Week title to the car’s pedigree further qualifies its position as a Pro Street car that legitimately performs.
Fans of FuelTech’s social media channels might recognize this car as it was run on the in-house Mainline hub dyno. The vehicle cranked out 3,000hp with relative ease and it relies on a full line-up of FuelTech products to keep it in good running order. A FuelTech FT600 was selected as the engine management system for several reasons. The street car antics requires ultimate power control and the ability to operate a large amount on-board systems.
The integration of several power management features also made the system attractive, like the Boost Controller and GearSelector. Those aren’t the only standard systems in the FT-series ECUs, which also include sequential injection and ignition, O2 closed loop, Data Logger, Delay Box, and for the chemically enhanced combinations, the Nitrous Controller. An FTSPARK has been installed in the ZL1 Camaro to ensure the boosted air and large volumes of race fuel are lit off in the combustion chamber without any trouble. The FTSPARK features 600mj of energy and proven to be reliable in combinations that produce more than 5,000hp.
As the racing season re-launches after the COVID-19 pandemic, expect to see more FuelTech-equipped vehicles crushing records and winning races on and off the streets.

That old man is one of the best people you’ll ever meet. I watched and kept up with him on the 1320 channel during the Rocky Mountain Drag week this year. The old man pulled the chutes and spread his wife’s ashes at the same track she ran her fastest pass at as he ran his fastest pass ever and remind you he spread her ashes. Car is beautiful and Fuel Tech is what’s going in my build but I’m 4 months away lmbo Keep up the good work guys💯

Yeah I’ve been watching this ol man for a couple few years now doin the drag week stuff (courtesy of 1320Video) and if I remember correctly he finally made a 200mph pass this year!! This is the dude I wanna be like when I’m his age man so badass!! 🤙🏼😁

bob smith it does dragweek and race week. Just finished 1300 miles over 5 days running low 7’s at 200 each day. I think he’s put around 10,000 miles on it. Thing just hums along like you wouldn’t even know what it can do

Nice as , a credit to Larsons and the whole input of vision to result well done dude . It could be a bit loose on tolerance on the right side of the engine combo or just a bit more oil from crank rotation to right bank cylinders , anyway it’s an animal and I want one for the toy box

I really wish you would stop putting yourself in the shot so much. It looks really corny and all the motion gives me sickness. What are y’all filming with? Please take notes from Steve from RPM Motorsport but great cars though
