Thank you so much for mentioning the autotune and realising it’s an artistic choice - this went over a lot of peoples heads and it’s so frustrating when people don’t realise it’s literally call and response within the song, and within Jimin battling his owns voice thoughts. But also after people watched his live stages where he was killing it, a lot of them shut up about it 😂

The fact that HLC didn’t stop vibing the entire song😂 are you sure you’re not ARMY yet?😂 I still think this is the love child of BTS-ON and JIMIN-LIE! I’ve also had this on repeat! Impressed that Teel new the poem too! And as soon as FFDP came up I thought of BAD COMPANY! I don’t know a lot of their stuff but they definitely did an amazing cover of it! The original is one of my favourite songs!

I completely agree with you. In "Lie" it felt like Jimin realized or finally had enough courage to admit to himself he was caught in his own lie. However, that lie still felt comfortable almost like a cocoon that is tight enough to be slightly immobilizing and suffocating, but still warm, welcoming and familiar. "ON", instead has that ride-or-die kind of vibe, like throwing yourself out in the void because what matters is to keep going and fighting. In "Set Me Free pt.2" it feels like he's finally comfortable in his own skin enough to get rid of the extra layers he built up to protect himself. The cocoon instead of giving him a twisted sense of comfort is limiting his opportunities, his ambitions and his abilities, and he feels ready to confront his fears and vulnerabilities head-on. He's outside of his comfort zone and yet he's the most confident he's ever been about taking the matter into his own hands and freeing himself from this lie and shedding the cocoon off.

Despite obvious sabotage, he is always #1. He is an unrivaled star. Everyone knows very well that no one can rival Park Jimin. That's why there is so much grudge and jealousy towards Jimin.But Jimin is a sun and the sun can never be covered in mud.

Everyone knows that no one can rival Park Jimin??? Seriously 🙄 I think what you meant to say was that that is your opinion. Don't speak for others, especially with nonsense like that. Jimin is not the best at everything.... No one is!!! And just because someone doesn't loke something Jimin does, doesn't automatically make them toxic, or a mean person just being jealous, etc... There are going to be people that like his music and people that don't, that doesn't mean they are automatically completely wrong or that they are being rude. It's everyones right to have their own likes and dislikes. For instance, I like this song, but I don't like the autotune in some of the song. I understand why he used it, I do. To me I don't think that it sounds too good in the way they specifically used the autotune in that one part. But there are other parts where I think the autotune sounds good. Not being rude, or toxic, not jealous, etc... just being honest, and there is nothing wrong with that.

His voice is unique and beautiful, he hits the high notes where rare male vocals can come out, his deep voice is great, he raps and dances great and is impeccably beautiful, gorgeous visuals and so handsome, he writes songs, his talents are uncountable. He's a singer and does the best of everything, he's a master of his craft and does the best of the best. Tell me what's not good with JIMIN but what can you tell me? Here is the reason for my comment, which compelled you to comment here because you could not suppress your jealousy impulses. This song is such a banger, ive been waiting for it for ages and now it's finally here. I'm in love with the choreo as its so jimin. I love jimins vocals in the song aswell,vand the lyrics relatable aswell. I also love the MVs darker colours aka the black and blue as they really set the mood Jimins is trying to create and this is a side of jimin I've been waiting to see and I love it.

You notice so many details! I think the spiral has a lot of meanings - one that's not usually mentioned is that the poem has "widening circles" in it - which is a spiral. This thing is an anthem for anyone who has ever had to hide who they are. And it's a work of art - the song, setting, and choreography are all part of the artistic statement. It's complete like this, if that makes sense? I'm gay, and this was pretty much exactly what it was like to come out in the 90s... I'm seeing my own experience interpreted artistically. So it's really powerful. I'm sure there are other people who have had this struggle, but it's pretty much universal in my community. Jimin gave us a real gift here, and he probably didn't even mean to. 💜

He performed this LIVE too. FANFRICKING TASTIC. I live my life in widening circles. The formation-a maze. The darkness. The voices all around-the maddening crowd. The three different vocal distortions, voices of haters in his head. Velvet feels great. I am so glad some amazing music came out of the emotional pain the pandemic. One thing about BTS is that the members are brutally honest at times about their trials. There were struggles with depression, loneliness, grief, loss. Tpain can sing sing-that show the masked singer he shocked us all. America’s overuse of autotune has tainted its benefits. People have used it to compensate for talent. Reaper, I have chihuahua mix baby, Jake and he gets a squeaky toy when I talk on the phone to someone I like. A telemarketer, he knows I am going to end the call quickly. A friend or family member he gets a squeaky toy and comes back and makes noise. People just laugh now. They laugh and say Jake is at it again. Jealousy.

The swirl formation can mean many things. But my favorite is that of a chrysalis because Jimin sang like a butterfly as soon as he leave that formation. He broke out from the cocoon and is free. More importantly, Jimin realized that only he can set himself free. So everyone quit calling asking for help for Jimin to be set free ;). The circular set is a Panapticon, designed in 1813 to be the perfect prison.

The scenery of this video gives the feelings of a panocticon which means an ideal prison where the guards can watch every step of the prisoner! BTS members have been constantly living under cameras for 10 years and practically had no private life of their own!!! That is HARD!

Our poor Jimin gets so much hate for the gifts that God gave him and its amazing to see him shed that negativity hate and reach out to be all that he can be. Hi Guys… first of all, thank you for your service. After watching this reaction, I did go to your channel and watched previous reactions to BTS and I have enjoyed every one of them. Jimin is a true artist. He can really do it all! I’ve listened to this over 200 plays (according to AM). It’s Jimin’s anthem that he’s going to be himself and haters f*c/m off. You want dancers in military ;) I have always said that South Korean military is so happy to have these trained K-pop artists in there - they are used to taking commands, and they have muscletone all around, and they know how to work in a group. Now there is a full military group of them of them running - in my mind - their morning run all the while going sky high "Set me free ow-ow-owh!"

Travis, The weekend, Kendrick Lamar etc.. many wellknown“Thinking” artists use unique autotun techniques to their songs. Jimin has a proven amazing vocal so he doesn't needs autotune, but in this song autotune is used like special effect to bring an added to dark tone, mastery to this master piece! It's brilliantly placed. 🔥🔥🔥

Okay first of all, you three are a hoot. Reaper no worries about being distracted a bit, you can always re-listen at another point. This was my personally favorite song from the album (I love them all) but this one is if 2 of my favorite BTS songs had a baby. (ON and Lie (Lie is a Jimin solo song from their Wings album) ) It just invokes a feeling. It was great seeing HLC just vibing over there xD. So cool you were familiar with the poem! The only person who I have seen react who knows it actually. I'm sure other comments will mention this but this song is the last one on his album "FACE" and the album is a journey chronologically of how he was during the Pandemic. The pandemic was really rough on BTS, not being able to perform, being isolated, and Jimin decided, that for his album the songs were going to be about his journey through it. In your own time as I know you can't react to EVERYTHING and they already have SOOOOOO MUCH CONTENT, I definitely recommend checking it out. All the songs are really different and yet sooo relatable. As always a fun reaction with you three. (Top Gun Anthem was epic, that girl can PLAY)

You are still watching more of the individual member's works and not the group. It's when they combine all the talents that the real magic happens. From what I can tell from your comments I would suggest MIC drop (Steve Aoki remix). Then maybe Fake Love. And, then Fire, then Blood, Sweat & Tears, then Black Swan, then.............. I don't know if anyone mention that the choreographer from ON is also involved in the Set Me Free PT 2 choreography.

You guys should react to 'Smoke Sprite' from SoJoon ft. RM of BTS, 'Sexy Nukim' from Balming Tiger ft. RM and also 'Champion' from Fallout Boy ft. RM. He wrote some of the lyrics for set me free pt 2. And wrote the song 'Like crazy' which Jimin also sings. This last one is #1 right now on the Billboard Hot 100. Oh snap! Thank you so much for the slam "Oh its a german poem that means .." when someone was trying to school you again.. oh! I love you so much. Line crosser I knew Id grow to lerve ya since these 2 do & today is the day. Thanks for speaking on the artistic use of the autotune. Snaps & Kudos to you. Yeah Jason Derulo can sing opera but to mainstream autotune. Watch the live where he growls in Set Me Free pt2 and the ad libs and runs in Like Crazy. All this vile nonsense over an encore when there are countless times in the performance you could hear its his live voice. It's like his 3rd performance as a newbie soloist with a stage of people just running up, something didn't work right and adhrenaline pumping come on he still doesn't know how to deal w/ that w/o the group.

Park Jimin freaking killed it. And we know that if you're the most popular member of a group you get the most hate and he'd for of course nonsense reasons. But he slapped the haters faces so hard that they don't know what to do now except letting out their frustration in every comment section abd it's soooo pathetic to me because I know they are some miserable people who doesn't even know what to do with their lives. They don't know how to live in this world. They think that Only hate is existed and they are satisfied with themselves when they hate someone with their hearts. But it's a fact that they're some miserable lifeless people with no empathy and emotions within them.

Yeah, auto tune is just another instrument that can be used for different reasons to convey to you the message that they want. Like Jimin hear used to show different sides of the story or message he want to hear from him. Park Jimin is really talented 💜. If you want to react to another Jimin song I recommend you "Lie", and his other new song "Like Crazy "

They are a truly unique group!💜 The military in me is tickled by the banter & references! *sidenote, the book "The Devil's Sandbox" by John Bruning is about my brothers' unit. I waited until they were out/retired (older bro CSM at ret) to read it, it's heavy, but very interesting. Might be up you guy's alley? Vinnie graduated in '90, so went right to first Gulf War, got out & ended up NG full time for next 20yrs. Ended up running ER response for state, & helping returning NG re-integrate after his humvee was hit & he was sent home. OR NG deployed during last (?) ME war. This book covers that, & time in New Orleans after Katrina.🇺🇸

Omg that's soooo true. They are literally watching every single vedio of Jimin and they are giving their all the time like seriously 24 hours every single day and night to Jimin just to write some nonsense hate comments. I mean you can basically saw them obsessed and terrified from Jimin. And guys I genuinely see them crying in the corner because their tactics didn't work as they thought of it. 😂😂

Hi, I'm loving your reactions but I have trouble with the sound. It's always really quiet and I have to put my volume up to full. Is there anyway you can make this better please? 💜Ps, I don't have this problem with other videos. 🙂
