Great starter farm. Absolute easy build. I've built it at my 1.18.1 server, made some changes. 1. Saplings collection. Hoppers are in every hole. Hopper minecarts under the dirt block and redstone lamp, two over dispenser. Crushers now are sticky pistons with open fence gates. Saplings dropper moved to oppesite side of afk area, put behind a trapdoor and with hopper 2 blocks below This allows to collect (and furter sort and store) all that the player didn't picked up. 2. Increased height limit for the tree to 6 logs. Increased height of crushers to 7. 3. Increased log conversion height from 5 to 6 (very easy to do, two additional pistons, one observer and some blocks and wiring) All above allowed me to grow birch trees with good saplings return and also increased bonemeal efficiency byroughly 20%. This fatm may grow tropical trees, but crushers and tree height limit should be much taller to allow acceptable saplings return.

I've build unified blast chamber designed by Cybic Metre, connected this tree farm to it and now I'm thinking of changing of 6 to 1 log stream converter to 9 to 1 or even 12 to 1, this will allow me to use this farm to produce jungle and spruce logs. This kind of farm is extremelly easy to build, so it can become a main farm for charcoal producing for furnace array. Bonemeal is produced by my wheat, betroot, carrots and potatoes farm - this one works 24x7 at my spawn chunks, also I have some bonemeal from iron farm - it also works 24x7 at spawn, I have some bonemeal from excess output from pumpkin/melon slice farm and from sugarcane farm. Last two farms are used occasionally, because pumpkin/melon farm is fly machine based and producing lags in addition to the main products 😁 Sugarcane farm is lag-friendly (Ilmango's one, pistons and slime blocks based), but it's kinda slow. But I still have enought bonemeal to run tree farm almost 24x7, so I'm not building moss-bases bonemeal farm yet, as I have no need for it. Anyway 2x4 giant spruce farm is still the best for producing a large amounts of logs, but it needs much more efforts to build and it is better to build it somewhere in mushroom biome.

I really like the 4x4 challenge for this reason: in many of your other challenges, your limitation is essentially how fast the computer can react to your inputs with the machines you've built. The skill of the SciCraft community is unquestionably sufficient to max out any server you could throw at your worlds. You have been successful. You have mastered Minecraft in that way. To add the space constraint is producing fascinating learning opportunities :) I think I'm not alone in being a watcher who more or less understands what you're doing, but could not implement many of the techniques you display outside of a block-by-block copying situation. Thank you!

I have one tip for you: When rendering the Replays, you could use a texture pack, which makes the worldborder invisible, it is a bit much movement in the "fast version" of the game ^^

I'd love to see a world download for the tree farm too! It looks like it could be adapted to other tree types nicely, and is quite simple redstone-wise, so I imagine a whole video on the topic would be popular as well :)

I guess the block stream converter could be removed as well. It would mean that the block storage would have some gaps in it, but it would make the farm even simplier to build and even a bit faster as well?

I feel like you’re better off just placing the 15 or so blocks to build it. This is probably the simplest way to get the cube builder to work properly. Any time you save building it will be lost 10 fold after using the farm a few times, because the block reservoir will be so much smaller.

If you are still into slime block missiles what if you had a a furnace minecart with a spider trapped on either side. Since mc spiders can agro from up to 64 blocks away if they see the player through a top side slab they will attempt to reach the player pushing the minecart accordingly and if you have detector rails whare the spiders are you could in theory build a flying missile that will track the player. You could also do this with a player in a minecart to kamikaze into the target, or my final suggestion is using noteblocks gor stearing and you could build more of a bomber this way.

the giant log cube reminded me of some experimenting i did and i know it probably wont work here because of how sparsely you get sand from wandering traders but you could takeout a huge chunk of that by taking advantage of the poor blast resistance of moving blocks, the timing is probably too tight for server usage anyways.

May I suggest using the string you get from the mob farm to craft scaffolding...which has a longer burn time than bamboo? You can still use the bamboo farm but like just send the items into a storage and then do a mass scaffolding craft session every other day

What for? It's just a waste of time to have someone take the time to craft them. Even if scaffolding is a better fuel the bamboo is being farmed automatically which makes it more efficient.

At 10:42 can't you power a dropper the same way which would drop an item into a water stream that would lead to putting the item into a hopper and taking a signal from that and save dust?
