Just picked up my first pair of all white sneakers. I went with Steve Madden Costal. The black jeans and either button up or polo are exactly what I had in mind to wear them with. In all of the examples Teddy has chosen to go with the sock less appearance. If I was going to wear socks would black mid calf socks be acceptable?

Love your channel!!. Any comments about other colors for sneakers? e.g. grey, brown.

For this style of sneaker I think you should adhere to the traditional rules for color-matching if you go with any color other than white. Brown should go with earth tones or darker blues. Grey can go with a lot of things but is probably best with other neutrals, or muted/pastel tones. Black theoretically "goes with everything" but in my opinion it looks best with black and white and not much else. In all cases above it's best to match shoe color with accessories (belt, watch strap, etc) if possible. White is the exception because it really does go with pretty much everything, which is a big part of why it's so popular.

White sneakers rock! I love to wear mine with jeans and shorts during the summer. I lthink a young person could pull off the sneakers and suit, but not for me. I like suits with dress shoes. Great run down.

I think a lot of people probably prefer socks. I think they look best with a no-show sock but whatever is comfortable for you works too!

Sockless/no-show socks are a must for this style of sneaker if the top of the shoe is exposed. Most men are wearing these with short-cropped or cuffed pants, like Teddy here, which has been the fashion for the past few years. Personally I think the only time anyone should see my ankles is when I'm at the beach. I have my pants hemmed to a traditional length (even a little longer for jeans) and I often wear boots or high-top sneakers. That way I can wear quarter-length or calf-length socks, and it's less of an issue that the socks extend above the shoe because most of the time they're not visible.

@its.clean Noted! Most of my pants just cover the ankle so unless I cuff them the socks won't be seen (except when I'm sitting down perhaps). I'll give the sockless a try... the aesthetic just hasn't quite grown on me yet and the no-show socks I've tried so far keep falling off which is a pain. 😵

Recently came across your channel, and I love white sneakers too! I own three pairs for different occasions. I don’t know about the ladies, but whenever I pair my white sneakers with dark wash denim, my shoes end up with with a whole bunch of stain. Even after having washed the jeans a few times. I tried to pin rolled my jeans to avoid getting my white sneakers stained, but my wife says the pin rolled jeans is more of a 20s, 30s look and not for a 40s men look. What’s your take on this look for someone beyond their 30s? Thanks

Ugh YES! I know exactly what you’re talking about. The denim stains are so annoying! From my own personal experience a Mr.Clean magic eraser normally gets rid of them. I think rolling jeans is typically a little more youthful but can absolutely still look great on someone in their 40s if you do it right. I would advise to maybe just not roll them up as much!

Courtney Ryan your comment made me feel better, knowing that I am not the only annoyed person with the denim stains, LOL! I’ve been cleaning my white sneakers with an old nail brush donated by my wife. I then finish them up with white shoe touch up paint, and they end up looking like new. Next time, I’ll give the Magic Eraser a try. And about the rolled up pants, I feel comfortable doing it, but she does not approve. So I only rolled them up when I go to work where she can’t see me, ha, ha,ha. In all seriousness, I just instead try to look for a shorter inseam jeans to fit me better.

Chris Coughlin I would go for a no show! Unless you have a very specific “hipster” style, the tube sock is hard to pull off 😂

Nice and very appropriate styling Courtney. As an older gentleman, I would be careful trying to pull these off. I think that the ladies would think that I was trying too hard to be young . . . Well said.. white sneakers are might be more suitable for young people, if a person does not feel confident wearing them especially 40+ year old , then it can replaced with some thing you feel more comfortable with like brown penny loafers. Thanks.

Brown can look great too if white isn’t your thing! I’d say it’s a little less versatile but can definitely work. I actually really like the ones that Oliver Cabell sells!

Good lord... could this woman be any more attractive? That soft voice is the most attractive thing I've ever heard in my life. I need to find a soft-spoken woman like this. My women are always loudmouths. Well, all but one. I dated the one soft-spoken girl for five years. Yeah... gotta find me a woman with a voice this sexy. I can't get enough of her voice. I don't mean to be weird or anything either Courtney, I appreciate your channel on its own merits, I just kinda have become obsessed with your voice. BTW I have three pairs of Oliver Cabells. They are fantastic if/when I get get em in my size (which isn't often). Can't decide whether I like koios or cabells better. TAFT is my absolute favorite I have like 10 pairs of em. Probably more than that.
