At least 3 of these are false, there are false, there’s a med that is used to dissolve stones and many people have serious long term issues after gallbladder removal. Every organ in our body has a purpose and it’s best if you don’t take them out unless absolutely necessary.

Hey doc do more research! You can dissolve gallstones depending on the size of them. There are other ways besides having surgery to remove the gallbladder. Oh and you forgot to say that once the gallbladder is removed the bile from the liver goes straight to the small intestines causing digestive issues of fats and fat soluble vitamins that was eaten. You'll have to take bile salts to help absorb and digest those foods.

I am 2 and 1/2 days out from gallbladder removal surgery and I feel GREAT. Only took Tramadol (opiod for pain) twice in the evening and now off it. I am going out to lunch and already walking around doing light chores around the house. I already booked some work about 4 days from now. Don't listen to the naysayers. Be positive and move forward.

I had a bunch of gall stones largest 14mm size, i did a gall removal surgery and I am perfectly fine with no digestive issues...infact feeling absolutely better than before . Doctor is correct. This surgery isnot very painful and patients are discharged in a day or two. Without doing surgery we are always at risk of developing pancreatitis or other complications.

this is not all true. This is wrong. Your liver makes ALL of your bile. The gallbladder just stores a small amount of concentrated bile. You can do great without it as your body adjust to it. Read some more.

Hello doctor... I'm 21 years old I have gallstones from past 7 months, recent ultrasound and mrcp shows that my gallbladder is contracted with numerous microliths and one of them of size 2.5 mm... doctor are saying that there is chance for with open surgery, laproscopic cholecystectomy is little difficult in my case because of contacted gallbladder and my weight is heavy...Can you please tell me that is there any chance of laproscopy?
