Here's a couple tricks for potty training. Put them in the crate you have...lined with pads at night. Take them out immediately in the morning....Also, everytime they eat, abt 10 minutes later, they will have to poop. Also, all of the puppies probably have fleas, and worms. You need to bath them all, and worm them all, including Lola. When you worm them, they have to be wormed again, exactly 2 weeks later, to kill the worms that were laid as eggs.

Love the puppies! Trainer here...research shows...DO NOT use training pads for potty training. Takes way longer. Pups habituate (want to repeat) to the feeling they feel under their feet when they poop and pee. They then SEEK that sensation out to repeat it. Get them outside as often as possible. Everytime they eat, wake up, play, drink etc....

Crate training worked for all of our fur babies. They sleep well and don’t want to go where they sleep so in the morning you let them out right away and they learn fast! We also keep a bell by the door and taught our dogs to ring it and they do that every time they have to go :) Trained puppies are happy puppies because they know what is expected and dogs are super smart! Also make sure they have their first shots because you don’t want them to get parvo! Cute puppies :)
@lucymorgan8859
@lucymorgan8859 3 жыл бұрын
I agree with everything she said, except you need to get more than one round of shots. Puppies don't start to make their own immunities til they are around 16 weeks old, bcs the immunities frm the mother's milk is still in their system. So to be sure, the shots take effect, they a few rounds.

If you want sleep just leave them with the jungle boy. lol Love that you are such a rescue family, but a word of warning. If you train your dogs to do their business inside, then you aren’t training them to go outside. Better to take them out ever couple of hours to do their business and praise them every time they go. Takes a couple weeks but after that they will always go outside!

I trained my puppy to use pee pads, heard warnings etc. Hey listen, I was lucky to be wealthy enough to not work, sleep 2-3 hours to attend my puppy all hours. But puppies can't hold their urine!!!!!! It doesn't matter how on the ball you are! So thankfully my dog used the pads. And I guess I'm a fortunate one, because my dog holds it since I stopped using pads until I take her outside. But pee pads are great during storms, winter and while at work.

I am not sure if I am overstepping. I hope not. But, when I potty trained my puppies. First step after the eat drink and wake up from naps. They got outside with a potty trained dog. You will find that it will go faster. Also, take them on the same walking potty path each time. I under stand it will be ALOT of outside trips but it will be a quick a easy task. I hope my puppy experience helps.

You guys should crate train your puppies at night so they don't ruining your floors. Put them in their crate with toys and treats so they don't think it's bad then let them outside 1st thing in the morning as soon as you let them out of the crate. They'll start to realize they need to do their business outside. Have fun with your babies and don't forget to spay & neuter when they're old enough.

Fleas and ticks are very hard to get rid of down there. I lived in Costa Rica for 9 years and also had to get bot fly larvae out of my mutts a few times. The best way to prevent ticks and fleas that I found was Bayer drops on the animal's back. You can't get those drops in the states but they work.
@comfortablynumb9342
@comfortablynumb9342 3 жыл бұрын
@@colleenkaralee2280 I understand. But in my experience nothing natural worked there for very long. The rain and numbers of bugs are a constant battle. I tried lots of things and found that the Bayer drops work for about 2 months when bugs are thick and maybe 3 months the rest of the year. I don't remember ever seeing DE except in cat litter. But I never asked for it either, to be fair. But I went to lots of vets, agricultural stores and animal feed store where they have the different meds for pets and livestock. Unfortunately natural cures are not prioritized much there.

Can’t say I ever brought home five puppies all at once but I somehow did end up with four dogs, numerous cats, multiple horses , chickens and turkeys! I loved them l but it was too much for one person. The key is that you all got together and made a plan and decisions. My situation was very different. There was no discussion, no thought process, and certainly no decision of chores or how they animals, birds, pets would be cared for. The baby chicks lived in the bathtub, then in my horse trailer, after I acquired a heat lamp to keep them warm. Fortunately a friend built a chicken coop for me . I worked away from home with a four hour commute and 12 hour shifts. My point... to congratulate you all on your excellent communication skills and thoughtfulness, not only for each other but for the animals, birds and other that you make your own. I’ve learned two words that I try so hard to keep at the forefront of my mind these days. Be Mindful Thank you all for sharing another wonderful video! I had 'Quincy' best cat ive ever had so far, short for Delinquency of course lol he was a naughty as a kitten. All black cat and slept with me every night along side my torso/stomach and lay his head on my arm or lay on my lap. He would talk to me back with tiny little mew mew sounds. I had 'Stone' he was a very beautiful all grayish blue color, short hair cat. He was Stone because of his color but also rescued him off the street in very bad shape, he was hardened by the streets and didn't like to be cuddly or be patted much but would sleep with my feet under the covers every night. He had a hard life before we met I think. He also would lay anywhere and look just like a stone on the floor. He also had very tiny front paws lol. He and Quincy got along for 10 years. I had Apollo, also all black cat. He was probably gonna replace Quincy on the sweetest. He really just wanted love and attention. He was 1 yrs when he past from kidney issues. I have his sister still, going on 2 years and fittingly her name is Artemis. Yes, she is his twin. Now I want a puppy hahaha

Hello to all of you. That was great that you rescued all the puppies and they have the best home. They all are so adorable. Y’all must not have enough work. Well you definitely took care of that. You will be busy for awhile. Make sure Ms Lola gets her food first so she don’t feel unwanted. Lola will teach all of them the tricks. Kaylee you are going to be a great mom. I can see Jordan wanting to help out with the baby whenever he can. You both just made everybody wanting to watch even more videos with the new babies. The work shed is looking fabulous. All of you did a great job. Looking forward to see the build of the first house. Well thank you for sharing and loved the beautiful sunset. Be safe and enjoy the puppies. 😊😊

Just a few tips and you probably already have 100's!! Don't feed them after 6 PM until AM when you get up. It will cut down on the floor messes!!! And if they have not had vet care, you might want to treat them for parasites. Puppies have lots of them!! They are adorable and YES!! you are all crazy!!!

@@thetruthhurts599 - Watch the video. They bought the puppy from a small, private breeder - not a puppy mill. Please watch the chip on your shoulder as your comments against Trent & Allie and in favor of Jordan and Kaylee are becoming rather acidic. No one is favoring either couple over-and-over except you. Most of the comments you have taken offense at are benign "roasts" of either or both couples. Tak the chip off and chill.

Just make sure you neuter/spay or else you will be having a puppy farm. LOL Also, make sure your eggs are unfertilized or you may never recover from cracking open a baby bird growing. Sorry, I keep adding to my post. I realized why your channel has touched me. My father died just a few years ago. He was 83. But in his lifetime, he worked in agriculture. He started out working on an Iowa farm and in the stock yards. Later on he went to college in animal husbandry. He was a missionary in Puerto Rico building churches and homes. That is where he met my mom who was a nurse on a fellowship. His work took him all around the world, but most of it was spent in South America/Latin America. He worked with foreign based agricultural companies in poultry and beef farms. I was born and raised in these countries (Lima, Peru). This journey you are taking and the work you are doing is touching my heart. My dad too did what you are doing. He made life long friends from Guatemala, Venezuela, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Caracas, and Chile. I'm so happy for you and your friends building this self-sustaining community farm. I hope you continue to help others so they can prosper.

I have a respectful suggestion: pick a language and train the dogs with those commands. Don’t keep switching, they will be farm dogs and will need to be properly trained. I know you guys love a challenge but i would hate to see some dead chickens 😂😂 (you know from personal experience)

I've done puppy rescue and they will naturally use a low pan with cat litter then progress to going outside when they are old enough to hold it a little. This is so easy and more natural for them.

Also, consider that those are a lot of mouths to feed. You will need to spay and neuter, so there will be vet bills too. That is a lot of cuteness, but also a lot of responsibility. If you are able to find forever homes for a couple pups, then you could foster again when they need help.
