Unfortunately, I have 6 pot brembos on my AB Black. Those only fit 4 pot brembos, as do the compomotives, so for now, stuck. could go to 19”s but the tyre selection is not good and they are an odd size. 👍🏻

Nope, they rubbed the fuel filler “bulge” on the OSR liner, and the rest is fine. 275/55/20 work fine 👍🏻

Depends on the year of your L322. I had trouble going that route as the DC-DC didn’t see a constant 12V from that fuse board. As far as I know, the BMS in the 10-12 RR ask for power, doesn’t send 12v to the electrical components. Way to by pass, go straight to the start battery and bypass, issue there, getting a feed through the bulkhead to your DC-DC. Still to get mine working properly.

Yes, they should, but you might have to trim the liners, they will rub, especially on the rear where the filler neck is. 👍🏻

Nope, not needed. They fit, some rubbing on the off side rear where the fuel filler “bump” is on the liner, but that has been worn away. They fit, no cutting or spacers.

If you have the IID Tool then you can recalibrate your Speedo readout to the correct information. As going up or down a tyre size from the standard factory ones will affect your real speed (only by a small margin, but nevertheless important in an age of ever increasing compliance enforcement).

I have a L405 space saver spare. It fits in the Loadspace floor, for me, it saves having to have all that extra weight in the roof, where I don’t have space anyway. I carry a tyre repair kit and have a dual arb compressor in case too. I also carry a can of fix a flat. The space saver is an emergency spare, if I had to get it off a trail or on the road to a garage, if I couldn’t fix a flat. Help that answers your question. 👍🏻

It’s perfectly fine as stock!

Easy, drop the passenger side grab handles front en rear, and the rear dog guard latch, and get a trim tool, the headliner will come down enough to wedge the cable in. At the back, run the cable to where the shark fin cables are and then it’s easy to slide it through the large rubber wire grommet thing, under the trim where the wash / wipe is and to the camera. 1 hour to run it.

Perfectly legal, and yes, they are an excellent upgrade.

According to amazon, the don’t have ECE certification, which makes them not road legal in Austria at least.

I’m sure there are other options in your country.

@@Overlanding4WD I might be wrong but your new tyres have an overall diameter of 31:9 inches and a standard space saver would be 30 inches ,from what I understand running an odd size wheel could damage the drive train

If in the UK - ANY modification to your vehicle from standard, or how it came out of the factory should be declared to your insurer. Hope that helps - I've always declared everything and glad I did, as when a non-fault claim happened, the TP insurer sent an assessor out to my vehicle with a list of mods and he checked every one off, making sure there was nothing additional that was not declared which would have meant they could have said that they were not paying damages due to my non-declared mods. Worth the £70 per year (for me) to have peace of mind and allow me a smug smile on my face when the chancing insurance gits come round looking for any excuse to say 'not insured'

Firstly, 17” wheels are not strong enough to handle the weight of an L322. Secondly, they’d look silly, IMHO. Thirdly, I’d love to go down to 18” which would allow a better sidewall, but there are no wheels today that fit over the monster 6 pot brembos on the front, so for now, these work for what I do. It performs just fine for what I do, and that has been proven on the trails I’ve currently taken in Spain. 👍🏻

@@Overlanding4WD with today's technology i highly doubt there's absolutely no 17inch wheel that isn't strong enough to handle the weight of an L322. You may be right 10 years ago, but with the off roads after market boom after 2015 you'll be surprise what's available in the market. Toyota LC79 series chopped and extended with tray and canopy, 80 litre+ water tank, long range fuel tank, double spare, j-mack custom solid axel (to align front and rear wheel track), Hard top RTT, redarc manager 30 inverter system, 70-80 litre fridge on sliders, full kitchen setup, double winch, full tools and recovery kits etc. In short super tourer by PC (Aus) are on 35s with 17 inch rims (method racing, mickey Thompson, AEV etc.)

@@laloolhouvum1634 there is no way an L322 can accept a 17” rim, unless you totally changed the discs etc, and then that would mess up all Manner of things on the drive train, ABS etc, they were never designed to drive on 17’s. And again, they’d look stupid in such a small rim. 18”s yes, but my model won’t accept them, as they won’t clear the huge front calipers.

@@Overlanding4WD changing the discs of L322 is the easy part. If you got the budget parts available for Jeep, Toyota, Ford, Land Rover, Nissan (4wds) in the after market is enough to built a whole new 4wd.

@@Overlanding4WD with 30mm wheel spacers 285/70R17 has been fitted on a 5.0 SC L322. They actually do clear the discs and calipers. Never say never.

Nope. No need, the offset of wheels pushes the tyres away from the vehicle.

@@user-jw3ip1xl5w Find a good 265/55 or 60 side wall. AT’s are better I use Coopers, which are very quiet, but good off road. 👍🏻
