I'm thinking of going to local charity storesand gettin the suitcases that have handles and wheels and a duffel bag.. loading the case with the foods and a to go kitchen in the bag and bungee cord it to the top of case.. just stand them by the door or in a coat closet and can grab and go. maybe second one for first-aid and clothing..etc

Good ideas, I especially like the scalloped potatoes and biscuits with gravy. I want my grandkids to practice cooking on the campfire with me and they’ll like those. I have pot pie as a dry meal in a jar; I dehydrate frozen mixed vegetables for it. I don’t care for mushy veggies either

Carnation has a protein drink that has flavors, couple with a high protein bar and some nuts, coconut and raisins in a vac sealed bag would make a super fast breakfast to satisfy kiddos. Even adults are giving these drinks a high rating. Just thinking about some meals that are fast without having to have cooking utensils and a wait time when you’re hungry and want instant satisfaction. Crackers with peanut butter or cheese, vac sealed nuts, dried fruits and bottled protein drinks could be another quickie that does not require prepping. Tuna packets, a roll of crackers, plastic fork, small travel wipes packet and bottle of vita water and wrapped roll of cookies give calories and a instant meal. Jerky strips, dried fruit, vitamin water, bag of popcorn (belly filler) , is a snack bag if you can’t cook and need something to eat in between meals.

I have a couple of big boxes of Bisquick mix that I put aside with other larger Prep items, and I believe it would make much more sense to divide some of it up into small packets and put with MRE'/Quick Meals since I don't have any individual packs. Also, dividing up other larger quantities of dry ingredients like powdered milk, sugar, tea, coffee and seasonings into smaller packets would be very helpful for people who buy in bulk instead of individual packs. Get prepared because just through a power outage damages for4-5 days losted freezer foods and just yesterday someone ran into our gas plant so we are without has now going 2nd day. But right in the middle it pour down rain so no backup fire too cook but I had a hot pot of my sons. But I will be finding and electric skillet for sure. I've been putting together a few meals for the crock pot meals. Like dollar General chicken rice meals with cream of chicken soup and a bottle of water or a can of chicken meat. They finally had the small can. Cause its just me but that will give me 3 meals and yes I eat one meal and put the 2 meals in a thermos too keep it hot and from spoiling . But I have a 2nd one for hot tea or coffee. 1tall skinny and 2 fat short one for meals. Or a can of beef in gravey in 1 and the 2nd one with mashed potatoes they will make 3 meals. And 3rd option 1 can tuna in oil ramen noodles,1 bottle water, because with ramen just hear the water pour over the ramen noodles and season pack in air tight container or I save all zipper candy bags for the meal and yes I add the oil in the can too And add salt,onion,garlic powders too taste. And yes I always carry a mini Tupperware salt shaker in my car. Good for cleaning all cuts and stop bleeding.

Walmart has some of that canned sausage gravy it's not terrible my kids like it. Also in a pinch the Biscuit mix can be made like a English muffin. I had no idea they made teriyaki spam but I am on the hunt for it now

Save last school year's kiddo's backpack for children's and senior citizens' grab and go bags as they're lighter than the adult sized and might be easier for some to sling over a shoulder rather than carry by hand.

I like that sausage and gravy. I love Mandarin oranges. The generic Spam at our Dollar Tree has gone to half the size of the normal one. I've never seen a teriyaki span before. Again that's some really good meal kits you've managed to make up.

Great ideas. I buy the 5 lb bags of mixed veggies at the business Costco near me and they dehydrate and rehydrate normal. I would use those in your pot pie recipe. I don’t like mushy veggies so this is what I stock in my prepping pantry.

11 months late but just an thought, You could use the liquid in the mandarian oranges to make the bisquick and save that bottled water to drink.

Hey Kim I have a question. I’ve been sick with a terrible stomach virus n I mean bad. So I haven’t been able to can my chicken n pork butt. Both are cooked n in the refrigerator. It’s been a day or so over a week. Someone told me I had to throw it out but that’s a lot of waste. At the time I cooked them I didn’t know I’d get this virus n it’s the kind you,poop,in your pants n not realize it at first so canning hasn’t been possible. Is these still good. They smell fine. I don’t want to throw it away. If you say it’s not safe I will throw it away but if you say it’s ok I’m going to can it. Also any suggestions on getting my strength back fast lol
