On March 28th 2023 I broke my Tib/Fib at work, I had a surgery after waiting 2 weeks for my swelling to go down. A few months later another surgery to remove a couple screws that were aligning my angle joint correctly. I was headed down the path of recovering when in August I was walking around at work and felt a couple pops, I continued to go about the next couple weeks until the pain got so bad I couldn't walk without intense pain. I went to the ER and found out that the bones broke again. So another surgery, more screws and longer plates were installed. I was released by my Dr on March 1st and it has been decided that I have 22% permanent lower extremity damage and 9% permanent whole body damage due to a limp...hopefully over time the limp will get better but this experience has taken a toll on me and truly tested me in everyway possible not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well.

I remember when I broke my femur all the way back in 2016. It was a spiral fracture that left two sharp points and one point was apparently just inches away from piercing my femoral artery. They couldn’t pull the bones completely back into place until I got to the hospital where they had to put me on ketamine to deal with the pure agony. I remember the pain causing me to scream at the top of my lungs and it was so painful I couldn’t even tear up.

I fractured my femur when I was 12 it was horrible I didn’t think it was broken so I kept walking around the house in pain and my leg locking up. I got it checked out and sent me to hospital for surgery. Then after awhile covid hit and they delayed the operation for a while to take the metal out. So it made my hips uneven leading to my back being not straight! So they were considering on doing back surgery to fix it! They said I could of died if I fell any harder it would of sliced my main blood artery

I actually have broken my femur from a car accident. Got t-boned pulling out of a stopsign. Totalled my car and they had to use the Jaws to get me out of the driver's seat. I was in total shock at the time, so I didn't really feel anything until I got to the hospital and my parents showed up. Then I just started bawling. Ended up getting my surgery done with the rods and screws from my hip to my knee. I just remember waking up from that in absolute agony, unable to help writhe around only to have the nurse to tell me to "calm down" and "quit moving around." Like, seriously? "You just cut open my leg in three different places and drilled screws into me. How do you expect me to be calm and not move around?!" It was absolutely horrid and a very painful 4 weeks of recovery. Now it only acts up when I do excessive work that requires squatting or heavy lifting, or during winter months. Similar to how people can tell if it's gonna rain when their joints start aching.

The only bone (thank God) that I've broken was my little toe on my left foot when I was young. I think the most that happened was that they taped it together with my next toe and I couldn't walk on that foot for some time.

I’ve broken every toe but my big toes. Some more than once. Kinda comes with the territory of being an athlete. And you’re right. All you can do is tape the toe to one that isn’t broken. Unless it’s your big toe. Then you get a cast.

But the issue was, that he was falling with his back and extended his arm to reduce the impact. The aftermath was several fractures on his arm and even after half a year, he still was at the hospital and having great issues with his arm.

I’ve been so lucky as not to break a bone. I dislocated my shoulder when I was two years old, that’s the worst injury I’ve ever had. As a person with OI (oesteogenesis imperfecta) meaning I have fragile bones, better called as brittle bones. As you can imagine I gone through a lot of fractures, so...here is my top most painful to least painful fractures 1.Femure fracture: simply horrible, no more words than that. Pain level 100/100 2.Tibia fracture: just like the femur but a bit little less because you have less struggle(movement annd recovery). Pain leve 99/100 3. Pelvis fracutre, more specifically the pubic bone: although mine wasn't severe, it felt horrible, you can't even sit or move properly, it feels like somenthing from your body is shot down, completely off. Pain level 95/100 4. Clavicle fracture: Painful but I still could do a lot of things, could even write with the broken bone. Pain level 85/100. Comparing it to the femure fracture it would be a 20/100 5: 4th metacarpial bone and 11th rib bone fractures: meh, painful but bearable, i could even write with my fractured hand and move, the only pain i got frome the rib was when I made pressure, sneeze or cough. Pain leve 20/100 Those are most of my fractures or as least as far as I can remember. The fracture I didn´t included was the radius bone because it happened when I was a little kid so I don't really remember anything. Consider that I have broken my femur and tibia multiple times and I went to surgery multiple times.

In fact. I broke my fibula last April. It was terrible, I wouldn't want to repeat this experience. Surgeons put plates in my leg and I was left with a scar. The plates were removed in January of this year. I also broke both bones of my forearm in 2018. But there were no surgeries. Although I lived with a broken arm for 2 days, I behaved as usual, because I did not want to tell my parents about the fracture. I didn't have any more fractures. As a result, try not to break your bones!

Me: Sprints fast enough to catch up with a skateboarder while on a sprained ankle Also me: Wincing in agony trying to sit and stand up when I injured my ribs (I still managed to run with costochondritis, but could barely withstand the pain) *My pain tolerance is fairly high, so this is an unusual moment in my life pain almost stopped me from doing something. It’s just really heart wrenching to find out that breaking a bone like that is that painful? I broke my collarbone when I was six years old, which scares the crap out of me to this very day and why I don’t ride a bicycle anymore, but still this other method up breaking bones is just crazy to me. God bless your shows and all you do I enjoy watching everything but I couldn’t finish this video just because the fact that breaking a collarbone seems to be used to be worse than breaking a leg bone. But I still give you kudos for you attempting to make a movie, or should I say a video over the fact?

Among the numerous other injuries he suffered (including a shattered cheek bone and a broken wrist) was a broken tibia; that required a rod to fix. Needless to say, most of his summer was spent in a wheel chair, and enduring that grueling physical therapy you mentioned; it could've been a lot worse though...

I have had 3 significant breaks 1. Ribs various times, most uncomfortable annoying injury generally speaking 2. Ankle, debilitating still have long term stability issues if I don't keep on top of it 3. C6 cervical spine let's go to story time on that... A). Broken in a MTB crash immediately lost sensation for about half a minute in my fingers both hands never been so scared for a short time, sat around for 20 minutes collecting myself and proceeded to slowly descend the last 5 minutes of trail at a snail pace. Went to the truck and waited for a few hours instructing my friends to keep riding and we later left the hill (not me driving) all the while my neck and shoulders were on fire but after 24 hours it was somewhat better but never improved, 72 hours later I went to the ER after my wife nagged enough (thankfully). Ended up with MRI, CT and x-rays which repeated 3 times in the recovery time(Canadian healthcare ftw) and a Shiney new brace for 12 weeks. Didn't really hurt after maybe 1-2 weeks aside from stuff neck from bracing my doc just shook his head when I was in the waiting room moving my head around talking to people before they braced me post scans... Few millimeters from paralysis I'm told. That was a rough 12 weeks braced up, wife helping me shower and such, no driving, no exercise till week 8, sitting in a chair (work as an IT engineer) I had to take 4-5 hour days with frequent breaks and menial tasks suddenly were temporarily difficult. Never again will I fuck around with potential neck injuries. And yes I still bike/play hockey before you ask, why? I see it as given a second chance to enjoy life I'm not wasting it but I try and be safe/calculated :)

I've only bruised my ribs, never broke a rib, thankfully. It was painful enough. I have had a hairline fracture of my left pinkie finger though

I had a spiral fracture( I know it has other names) to my fibula, I was skateboaring and bailed after heading down a hill, I jumped onto a bench thinking it was safe, nope my foot landed in one gap and my body continued to rotate and go in another direction, unfortunately this was on a Saturday and my dad decided a doctor and panadol was fine, I went to the ER the next day after an excruciating night in pain, I spent 3 months in a cast, this was before PT was really a thing, my leg has never been "right" since.

I broke my leg a few inches below my knee, I was a little kid but I remember my leg going completely numb for a while. The pain I felt after the cast was taken off was awful

I fell into a sewer in Indonesia on an unsecured construction site. I had three fractures in tibia and fibula. My left leg was turned 90 degrees to the side. 3 young man pulled me out of that canal. At first i felt absolutely no pain. The pain started 90 minutes later in hospital, but then it me really hard. Now i have 14 screws and a plate in my leg.

Having Osteo perosis, I broke a lot of bones as a kid, 11 or 12 total. One example I broke my toe just kicking a soccer ball as a kid. Its gotten better after early adulthood/puberty but now at 30 I have lots of knee pain do to osteo arthritis in the knees and the surgon said my knee looks like a knee of a 90 year old when I had surgery on it in my early 20s.

I had a tibial plateau fx. I can attest that this hurt quite a bit. It took about 2 yrs to recover. I now need a total knee replacement because I have arthritis in my knee joint. I also lost about an inch of leg length on that side. I still have nerve damage in my calf and foot. I have also broken my wrist and my ankle. Yes, I am clumsy lol
