Amen. #5 particularly caught my interest. About a year or so ago, God led me to study Ephesians 5:22-31 a little closer than I had before. I truly believe that’s when He started preparing me for marriage. He has really changed my heart in that time and my view of marriage has completely changed. Although I am still single, I do believe that God starts preparing people months or even years before an actual relationship manifests. Marriage is a serious, lifelong covenant and not to be entered into lightly.

This is exactly what I’m going through now. God even spoke to me when I asked him for a yes or no only, to “not waken love before it’s time!” I’m just being patient and waiting now. But I do pray for this man.

Hey, Mark. This is off topic, but I wanted to share this with you. I've been taking guitar lessons for the past two years. I've been wanting an electric guitar for a long time. My instructor gave me one of his electric guitars. He didn't sell it to me. He gave it to me. It's a Charvel and it's nicer than anything I could have ever picked out for myself. The next day I walked into the music store looking to buy a cord to hook up to an amp and the guy at the counter gave me a new cord--never been opened. No joke. I told my mom and my dad about my new guitar and my dad was really excited about it because he used to play guitar back in the 70s. Then I went back to the store and bought a cheap practice amp and two days later I got a check in the mail from my dad to pay for my amplifier and I never asked him for anything. God blessed me with an electric guitar set up that was nicer than anything I could have bought and it didn't cost me a dime. God is good!

Before I really have no desire for marriage because my focus was to serve God, help my family and be successful in my career. Not until this year 2021, I just woke up and having a desire to get married someday. I prayed to God and ask Him to prepare me and let His will be done in my life. Then, there's this guy whom I've known since we were young suddenly texted me. I was surprised because we really don't talk that much about personal matters, only church-related or ministry related topics but here he is, asking me about my view of relationship and anything related with that. I actually have doubts because I don't know what is his intention of doing those but I feel like we have this special connection even before whenever we talk or we are together. I feel at peace, free and just being myself around him unlike any other guy. And now, the desire for marriage is getting strong. However, I'm not sure and I don't know if he is the one whom God will give to me. Please pray for me. 🙏

I have a friend who was married and divorced 3 times before I got married. At the time it seemed women would flock to him and flock away from me. But now that I have been married for over 30 years, I wouldn’t trade his “success” with my failure with women. Being married to the same women is comfortable. I would imagine having 3 ex-wives is more “exciting” but I prefer being comfortable

I was contacted by an old friend from 20 years ago from church who was in my same circle of friends. I married one of the friends in our group 20 years gone by I am divorced to his friend because he was not the o ne my ex was a false man who played a spiritual person and soon enough our marriage problems has been exposed. He was not the man I thought he was now take count that when I met my ex I was a baby Christian and trusted him instead of trusted God. Our marriage was not right things God knew that I needed to get out from but I stalled thinking God could change him. He didn’t want God to change him he was satisfied of who he was so he left. Now a year later after our separation almost divorce completed my past friend of 20 years reaches out to talk and later down the line tells me that he always felt I was the one that he let slip away because he wasn’t aggressive enough and the timing wasn’t right. We began long distance dating. I was in Florida and he still lived where I lived once. Time went by and we fell for eachother it was a soulmate connection and we couldn’t get enough of eachother. We would spend endless time talking on the phone. After 11 months we decided to come closer so we could start to date like normal people do. So I moved closer since I had family not to far away from where he lived but it was still 3.5 hours away. We met up a couple of times and I saw in us that we had to much hurt still in from our pats lives that even if we wanted to be together it wasn’t the right time. God wanted to heal us both since we both had 20 years of baggage to heal from. I couldn’t see it and couldn’t or wouldn’t understand it I was stubborn and thought he was tricking me to call it quits after so much passion and caring and everything he did for me when I was stuck trying to get on my feet. I took it for granted I pray for him because he is with great past issues from childhood they needs healing AB di I’m getting over still from my past 20 year painful marriage but I know that this man is probably the one but we need healing, we haven’t spoken in a while and my heart can’t stop thinking about him. So I wfm for prayers please for guidance from God. This man of my past that I care deeply for had changed my life to make it right again with Jesus my savior. I pray that we both get the healing we need and that one day Gods will maybe be together the way it should be. Thank you 🙏🏼

You can always ask God for confirmation as well, but you must be willing to be still as you wait for His answer. There are too many second and third marriages through divorce in the house of God.

I’ve never looked at men at my church as potential dating partners. I’ve gone to the same church for 11 years on & off & the month my sons father & I split permanently, a new man started working at our church. Over a year I developed a crush on him for how much I see the Spirit of God in his actions & the obvious similarities we have. Bad experiences with many so called single "church women" over the majority of my life thus far. Haven't been back to a church's singles ministry in years because of it. Been through many trials, but now in mid-40s, I'm not placing anymore elevated hope in God's selection of a mate although I've been given "prophesies" of a wife being prepared for me. Forget that. Made my peace with God in being content with remaining a bachelor for the rest of my natural life and enjoying the peace, quiet and freedom it brings!! If God brings her then He will let me know. Until then, I happily pursue God's artistic purpose for me!! Peace y'all!!!

Honestly (in my experience) some homeschool and Christian groups put too much pressure on people wanting to be friends before dating. Older people, just because we're talking doesn't mean we want to date. We don't know eachother well enough to answer that. And men, stop being afraid of women calling you our friend. It's ok to be in the friend zone sometimes. We need to make sure that you are a safe person that we like before we date you.

This was happening to me with someone who was one of my best friends...he died of suicide and I am left wondering what Gods will was for him, for our friendship. I have faith in the Lord’s plan for my life.

Things got crazy when I stopped praying for God to send my husband and started praying for God to make me the wife my future husband needs me to be. It’s been beautiful so far trying to figure out what was truly my heart’s desire vs God preparing me for my future marriage.
