It's crazy how so many people overlook the security issues right in front of them, but are so quick to judge the printer companies that are working on it. Likely an experience or skill issue, but still, security needs some focus here.

Instead of big printer means big filament losses, I look at it as big printer means bigger completed projects in one shot. But seriously, appreciate the video. Definitely would be an upgrade to my CR10 Smart Pro w/ same dimensions as far as print volume goes. Thanks for the security tidbit as well. As a new user to Klipper, would I have known that information? Not this guy at least. Keep the content coming.

Every video i see has it but mines missing. Was on same update as someone else they had it i dont. Do you have any idea if its been moved or if i need to turn on setting or something? Recently got into 3D printing and came across your channel. Your production is top notch! When I was looking at new printers the X4 was the one I really wanted. Looking at reviews on Facebook in the artillery group it seems like people are having nothing but problems. Seems like Z offsets are a big problem

Welcome to 3D printing! Glad you are here, and thank you for the kind words! I haven't been to the Facebook group to look yet, so I haven't heard about any z issues. Are they just user error or a problem with the machine?

Machine is too tall and not reenforced properly so vibrations and movement create issues. @@LoyalMoses

@@LoyalMoses I'm not sure if it is user error, firmware problems, or the machines themselves. There is a post by a user saying the menu freezes, setting the language to german freezes the menu, z-offset generates an error message, etc. There are a few others commenting on the post with some similar issues. Overall the machine looks great but I think if I was going to go the bedslinger route again I would probably go with the Ender 3 V3 KE or CR-10 SE.

Is this unit considerably better/easier to use than the X3 plus? I'm looking at replacing a tired old Anycubic Mega S (with upgrades) with a larger bed-size printer. I've done little research here as I've also been searching for the best bang for buck mid-size resin printer.

Would like to see a compare of filaments on 300 mm/s like the polyterra pla and Polysonic high speed. If it really needs a highspeed filament or it can do with normal filament.

You don’t need high speed filament at all. Polymaker PLA Pro runs great in it at speed as well.

Why does it use 2 Z motors that are linked? That seems counterproductive or redundant, if they weren’t linked, it would make sense
@LoyalMoses
@LoyalMoses 5 ай бұрын
Two motors for such a large build volume and the belts keep everything synced.
@Firstleaker
@Firstleaker 5 ай бұрын
It keeps them synchronized, because both steppers are running off of one stepper driver. Klipper can handle dual Z motors, and can align the gantry. It is simply cost reduction.

My first 3D printer was an Artillery genius. Then I bought another one, and then a Genius Pro. I still have two of them and they print pretty good. When I learned that Artillery was going to release a new SW4 I was excited and wanted to know if they were going to release a new Genuis Pro with the features of the SW4. I sent an email to Artillery and ask about a new Genius Pro . They did respond and the answer is NO. They are not going to manufacture a new Genius Pro. I don't want a helmet class printer. I don't print big stuff and I don't have room for one. Now I have to go shopping for something else. I am really disappointed. Thanks for the introduction to the new SW4.

I really wish screw based bed leveling would go away forever. Unless a company is lacking confidence in their bed supply chain, make those couplings rigid and ABL it. To have auto z offset but not the other thing that drives people insane printing sorted out by ditching the screws is weird in 2024. Other than that pet peeve, looks like a great printer for the money.
