I came close to selling my 2005 LS 430 last year until I found your series on this 600k car. I am now going to keep mine forever and one day do a restoration like this on mine. I am the second owner and I have had the car for 10 years now with 279,913 miles as of today. Still running great and being a Texas car it's entire life not a spec of rust anywhere. Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing the show room finish.

My 114,000 mile LS 430 had no sign of the timing belt ever having been changed. I followed Amd’s video on timing belts and was able to change it. Thanks Amd!

I believe this car came from Bellevue, Washington (Pacific Northwest). When it snows (which is a rarity here) the highway departments do not put salt on the ice, but sand. I'm thinking that is why there is so much sand trapped behind that rear bumper.

I now own a new Toyota because of this man. Hoping someday to own a used Lexus as well.

Another hiding place for sand and debris is under the front wheel well covers at the base of the wheel well and front of the rocker panel. I've found wet gunk on all the cars I've owned and is one of the first things I do when I get an older car. Helps avoid rusting in those areas. Spray with Fluid Film, Rust Check etc. to preserve it.

Ha ha ha about the Washington dirt. I live in Washington state and I have had four Lexus vehicles and yes they do seem to collect a lot of rocks and dirt in the wheel well area.

I have a 1998 Lexus GS400 with 250,000 miles I am restoring. I am the second owner, picking it up at 75,000 miles. I will do the same with a 2000 Toyota Land Cruiser with 315,000 miles. When they are done, I will be turning my attention to my 2010 Lexus LX570 with 220,000. They are all California cars, none of them have rust or have ever been wrecked. I plan to keep them all as long as possible. I was inspired to run the numbers after watching your video about your client that restored his Lexus GX 470, instead of replacing it with a newer car. While gasoline can be expensive, I don't have car payments and vehicles have been extremely reliable.

Had a MK1 LS400 limited import to UK, I ran it on LPG single point injection went like the wind and turned heads only problems were control bushes and LCD display going dark, replaced it with a 2005 LS400 which was good but not as sleek looking as the MK1, moved that on as the valve seals were starting to pass but otherwise a good bus. Now have a 2005 GS300 which is reliable but not a patch on the LS. Once taught a Scooby a lesson in power management, stuffed the throttle into the shagpile and nearly ended up in the back seat as the LS can move. The Scooby got a speed camera ticket ha ha. Great channel.

Love restorations! That's gonna look great when it's finished. I had a little rust starting on my '96 300 (left rear rocker by the sill). A lot of bigger shops don't want to do that anymore, no money in it. Luckily there's an independent guy in my area who has a home shop. He did it right and it came out great. Good luck with your work! I only have 433000 miles to go to catch up with you!

I bought an insurance salvage auction LS 430. Was hit on hood. Replaced hood, core support, radiator. Car drives perfect. Only 114,000 miles.

I have to say...thanks to your videos I am so informed on how to maintain my Lexus/Toyota, where to go, what to ask for, and when to spot things being offered that are just money-grab nonsense. Just the other day during my dealer oil change they asked if I wanted to do "maintenance alignment" or "AC refresh". I wish I lived closer to your shop! Thank you AMD.

Two years ago I bought a 2006 RX330 with 215,000. Excellent condition, and I have had fun changing the valve cover gaskets, fluids, brakes. Interior is really great condition, but the dash is cracked and I'm thinking about spending the 1500 to get a new one. One. Fortunately, Ahmad showed how to do this so if I buy it I can do it myself.

I have 502,000 miles on my 2003 Lexus GX470 and I’ve made the decision to just keep driving it and replace wear and tear cosmetic ( and obviously mechanical) items as they go. Keep it going.

I’ve been into Subaru since 2006. My wife purchase a CT200h brand new in 2017, I negotiated a good deal at the time. It’s been 100% reliable, we’ve changed the oil every 5,000 miles from the beginning and always oem replacement oem filters and oil. I walked the showroom floor for hours while we went back and forth negotiating. I looked at all the cars and was left thinking the IS350 F sport would be a good car for me to own. But I was in love with my 2 wrx vehicles at the time, an 02 bugeye sedan and 2005 Saabaru wagon. Now I’m 59 years young and have decided to mature some, I’m finally ready to part way with my beloved and well taken care of Subarus, same ones I’ve been loving and taking care of since new. I found a 2017 IS300 AWD F sport in atomic silver like I saw on the showroom floor in 2017 with black interior with only 58,000 miles that I’m picking up Monday. I’m flying to South Carolina for it and driving it back home to NY. I’ve looked at the car history reports and requested videos from the dealer. They’ve been very accommodating, lifting the car 2 times and showing me underneath. The car looks like new all around. Service history is not complete from what I can see online but I figure at its current mileage I’ll take it to Lexus and have them do the transmission and brake fluid flush. Already ordered all oem filters from Toyota, oil, PCV valve, spark plugs to do right away. Will clean the throttle body and maf, inspect for any leaks, etc. Essentially do the recommended 60,000 mile service. The one question I have is about the radiator fluid, Lexus dealer told me it is not necessary to do a radiator fluid flush but I feel like I should have that done. The looked at me as if I have 4 eyes because I was insisting on wanting that done. I have not looked at the radiator fluid in person yet but I still think 7 year old radiator fluid should be flushed out. What say you Mr Car Care Nut ? Should I not do the radiator fluid flush ?Thanks for the great channel. I will start changing the oil every 5,000 miles and do preventative maintenance like I have always done with all my vehicles. Wife’s CT200h is just shy of 50,000 miles. Please let me know your opinion about 7 year old radiator fluid, thank you sir.

Toyota Corona, 4 cylinder car (which is the best car i ever had) got me almost 500kmi and then the odometer stopped working. It ran like a sewing machine and I put more miles on it; i finally traded it in it was because my son wanted to ride around in a sportier car, but I liked how it looked. It sorta looked like a mercedes-benz, and trouble free, except the starter went out a few times. The auto dealer was mad because he was planning to put a million miles on it and it failed inspection; the frame was broken. It still rode great with a broken frame.

However I am moving to Ohio next month and I am wondering if Toyotas that were originally sold in Florida did they receive any undercoating or rust protection?
