I love the difference in the East v West car building engineering. Thank you for taking the time and not swearing at the camera.

PI hybrids are stupid. They have to be fuelled twice. Company cars don't bother, they just fuel them w gas. No running savings. Hybrids are way better.

I've got one, head gasket went at 437k kms fixed it myself, been about a year, 25k kms now and saw another video by him saying about this problem... if you don't drive it much, you could have this problem, if you drive it heaps, you'll be OK... really surprising on toyota side for not torquing up properly...

Sad I bought a new Capstone Tundra…now hearing about all the problems even with the 2024…main bearing failures, differential problems etc., talk about being sick to my stomach…I should dump it…I’m not going to deal with having the truck torn apart while they replace the short block with another with the same problem…same with the differential…what a joke…I’m done with Toyota!…should’ve bought a 2024 4Runner…they’re all junk now

I left my Toyota to a Toyota-car-garage ...never again. I now completely lost all fait in them. Couldn't even fix problems with the brakes, then started to denied that they didn't do anything wrong. So now I change my oil mysellf, and other things a leave to a wellknown garage to fix. Never again a Toyota dealer.

Hi can anyone please help if one injector is bad, would it cause short term fuel trims to go up and down all crazy intermittently sometimes and have lean fuel trims more lean on idle and misfires in just one cylinder?

Just imagine if Toyota brought back the 93-98 Supra body with one of it's own engines and transmissions. It would kill the e market with enthusiasts. I can see this BMW being discontinued from Toyota's line up.

Start stop systems are a scam for the buyer. It's make the buyer pay extra for more equipment and repair costs for lower emissions and higher auto sales.

Fun fact: the VW/Audi EA888 gen. 3 engines have liquid-cooled exhaust manifolds, so they don't feed the crazy hot exhaust fire to their turbos. This configuration also causes the coolant to heat up faster, reducing cold engine wear. Still, it takes about 5 miles of gentle driving before I see engine oil temperature hit 50C. Fully warmed up coolant does NOT mean fully warmed up motor oil. One last thing, replace your spark plugs well ahead of the scheduled interval. Use only OEM-specified spark plugs. Keep that combustion as efficient as it can be.

Straight BMW-Toyota collab garbage / trash. That’s a FACT! My 1997 6 speed Turbo Supra had absolutely ZERO problems until 201k at which point the turbos started to smoke. Since then went full build, single turbo and it’s been an absolute beast to drive now!!…

i had a similar problem with my 2020 Mercedes A200; the steering control module was the issue and replacing it stopped the warning messages that my "door is open" and to "go to the workshop without changing gears"

Have you heard about the problems with the main bearing on this engine? there have been been problems with Tundras, Ls500. I am worried because I am in the waiting list to buy a 2024 GX 550 that uses the same engine.

It just seems to be that German engineers are all about performance and fit/finish. Everything else is secondary. Zero fooks are given about mechanics and subsequent repair bills.

to make things easy, can i just suck up the old break fluid, put new one in, drive a little, repeat 10x (similar to how some people would change the power steering fluid), and consider done?
