I was talking to my journalist friend yesterday about switching to threads by Meta. He has a pretty bad experience on social media because he's well known and because he follows a wide range of people. He reckons social media is just people yelling at each other. I use my social media quite differently. I block anyone who yells and acts stupid so I'm only left with like minds who use their words well instead of resorting to immature trolling games. Any sniff of belligerence and I'll iggy someone so fast. It's never worth getting into an argument on social media!
