Wow!! You have really slimmed down! I am a bit more lax on my carbs and cravings too - if I am craving things, I just go for it, just in moderation and not all the time. I figure as long as I get my protein in, I feel pretty good! This is about living a new healthy life. You are doing awesome!

Thank you so much! It's so nice to get the support of people who are doing the same thing and are supportive of your ideas. Thank you! I agree with your thinking. I'm trying to make sure I can keep this up in the long haul and so far, in indulging in some of those cravings- actually helps be consistent. Thanks!

I love how much you mentioned Costco!! Seriously it is my favorite place on earth! I just saw Dr. Cottam on Wednesday for the first time and couldn’t believe it when I found your channel today (the Friday after)! I started watching from the beginning of your journey and can’t wait to continue.

Gotta be careful with that jerky, some have very high sodium. I bought some jerky sticks where I only paid attention to the protein amount and when i ate the first one I couldn't finish it becuz it was too salty. I suffer from high blood pressure so that wasn't a good option for me. haha. i know this video is 3 yrs old but I'm seeking WLS tips cuz i've started my journey and I'm a month away from meeting the surgeon and shortly after that surgery i'm guessing. I"m glad I came across your videos.

Premier chocolate is my breakfast every single day! It’s the only flavor I can stomach !! I need to try jerky! I never liked it before but I need to do something I know I’m not eating enough protein 😑😩I also get scared I’m stretch my stomach so thanks for that reassurance I also had the ds loop
@GinaMarieUT6 жыл бұрын
YES- I know... I am always looking for ways to get my protein in. I think everyone is nervous they are going to stretch out their stomach. It was really reassuring to hear as well. I think the people who feel like they have stretched out their stomach are just eating more than "they think" they should be eating- which is my case, but that's why I asked my doctor, or they are getting the wrong type of calories in.

I got the surgery coz I dieted for 26 years trying to come to a healthy weight. Also ate healthy n worked out for two years but cudnt hold it together much longer. I got the surgery in 2012 thinking its the only way for me to lose weight without being so harsh and strict with myself but after a few months I found myself dieting again coz otehrwise it started creeping up slowly again. I am in the works of getting a DS next year as I have the bypass now. I dont know if I deserve the surgery but then again if someone is disciplined enough to lose weight why get the surgery( when it comes to those that are so disciplined after surgery). What changed for them?what changed for u? u are doing great so I hope u know ur videos are much appreciated.much luv Kathrin

SurvivorDietLady Thank you so much!!! I don’t think much has changed for me. Honestly, i have little goals- like get protein in FIRST and eat good before you eat bad. I constantly check myself because I’m still me and still have all my weaknesses. I try every day. Every day, I work on things. I’m still me and sometimes that is hard but I feel like if I eat healthy first, then I won’t have the room for the bad... that doesn’t always work- but I try try try!

Gina Marie I agree I think that if u have the right foods available and the low fat snacks recommended by the nutritionist (salty and sweet). I have cheddar cheese sticks and low sugar fudgesicle pops (5 calories). I was told to read the label and make sure the snacks carbs and fat is 5% and below. Always low fat/ no sugar. I Always have to remind myself protein first and hydrate myself all day.
