@@DarknessPrevails , it was. She described it as a dog, but that it like looked real skinny old grandpa and that was on all 4’s like a dog, but ran on 2 legs when it saw it. She made me nail towels over her bedroom windows bc she was scared it could still see in through or around her bedroom blinds, and this was after the 4 nights she slept with me and my husband. She said it was white and didn’t have any hair. This was 6 months ago and she still won’t go outside for anything after dark. Neither me nor my husband saw it, but she’s not been exposed to anything like this. No scary movies or anything so idk where or why she would come up with this story if it wasn’t true. Also, I could tell by the look on her face when she ran in the house, she was telling the truth. We live on a 30 acre farm in NE Mississippi about 70 miles from Taylor (Dogman central). We have a lake and plenty of trees for something to hide. She said that thing ran in the barn, but we never saw it again, and hopefully we won’t.

Yup, I saw one in my backyard 5 years ago. I do not think they are from this world.

@@missingdoctor yes it's kinda amusing how people don't connect these dots sometimes. A lot of these stories match up really well with old myths and folklore, and if you connect the dots it paints a rather interesting picture.

@@missingdoctor another example just off the top of my head is how the Spanish "la llorona" is basically identical to an Irish banshee. Even her backstory fits the banshee myth as they're usually said to be the vengeful souls of women who die of drowning.

@@missingdoctor good luck on the deep dive, Viking and Greek myth are pretty easy to follow since they're relatively well preserved. Celtic is harder since it's very fragmentary. But a lot of things people mention come from these as far as I can tell.

Yeah it's a waste of a sentence. It doesn't make the story more believable, being under the influence has never made anyone see gnomes, etc.

That's exactly what they're doing, or trying to do. There's guides online on how to make these stories more believable or convincing

West Virginia is one of few happy childhood memories I have. When I hear the bugs singing in the summer , it takes my mind to being that 8 year old girl riding my bike down the windy road, lined with trees on both sides of me, surrounding me in her beauty and songs.

Yup. Also tons of old homesteads. My parents always warned me about collapsed cellars and covered wells that I could fall into. There was one in an abandoned cabin up the hill from our house, and the well was over seventy feet deep. And it was so far away that nobody would have been able to hear you screaming for help if you'd fallen in. On top of the weird stuff, there's tangible things in those hills that will send chills down your back.

Hey! Yes usually people do not send me the pictures when they mention them. I personally dislike stories like that and usually only narrate them if they help me get to 30 minutes on a certain topic of video.

In my experience, 5000 words is about 30 minutes, and 10,000 words would be about 60 minutes.

Never really did an 'exact word count', but my wife and I did a podcast for a few years...we found that about 5-minutes of 'local news' in a freelance form, plus 6-7 pages of single-spaced type-written text on an 8-1/2 x 11" regular 'print page' would yield a 45-50 minute show...go on up to maybe 8-9 pages, for us rare, would get you to maybe 1-hour...easier than doing word-counts, as technical presentations tend to use longer words, where 'general knowledge' will use shorter words...which throws that 'word count' thing off, quite a bit...the simpler 'page count' was consistent...we targeted 7-pages, and were happy with 6-8 pages normally...again, allowing for that 5-minute 'intro adder'.

@@cphil6507 they are both spirits but a Wechuge is a Animal Spirit possessing a person, something along those lines. I dont have the facts for them memorized as well as I do for Wendinopes. Their stories are kinda similar, though.
